"There's someone I want you to meet up with," Seokjin jumped at the deep voice.

"You should announce when you show up," Seokjin complained and Lucifer chuckled, "Who is it?"

"You did such a good job with the detective, I want to challenge you now." Seokjin nodded, not really understanding.

"You've met him before, Park Jimin," Seokjin frowned at the name.

"He's still alive?"

"Not for long." Seokjin quirked up an eyebrow.

"What's the challenge? You want me to kill him?" Lucifer smiled but shook his head.

"Get him to be on your side, be his savior," Lucifer walked towards Seokjin and caressed his cheek, "I want to see how powerful you really are."

Seokjin walked out of his house, and made his way to his car.

Park Jimin was a name he had not heard of for a while now, they had been neighbors for years. Like Seokjin, Jimin and his family were well off. When they were younger, Seokjin would go over to Jimins house a lot. However, this only lasted until middle school. This is when Jimin stopped showing up to school, Seokjin wouldn't even see him outside.

One day, Seokjin finally went over to check up on him and was greeted by Jimins mother who looked extremely tired. "Seokjin! It's been too long! Come in! I'll go tell Jimin."  Seokjin went in and waited in the living room.

Suddenly there was yelling upstairs, hesitantly he made his way towards the commotion.

"Tell him to leave!"

"Jimin, this can be good for you! You can't stay here by yourself for the rest of your life!"

"Rest of my life?" Jimin whispered harshly and laughed, "I'm dying! The 'rest of my life' is a year maximum!"

"Don't say that!" Her voice cracked.

Seokjin knocked on the door, "Mrs. Park, I think you left something in the oven."

She quickly wiped away her tears and turned to him, "S-Seokjin, I am so sorry you had to hear that, maybe you should go." Seokjin looked at Jimin who avoided his gaze.

"I need to talk to him quickly and I'll be on my way." Mrs. Park looked back at Jimin, who just shrugged, and walked out of the room.

There was a moment of silence, but Seokjin made his way towards Jimins bed.

"I haven't seen you in a long time."

"You heard everything, stop acting." Jimin whispered.

"You're not scared?"

"Nope. Death is better than this."

"And you don't want to be my friend anymore?"

"I don't need friends anymore, you're going to treat me differently now that you know I'm sick." Jimin glared at Seokjin. "Just like everyone else, this is why I didn't want anyone to know. Please, just leave."

"I guess this is goodbye then," Seokjin stood up, "It was nice being your friend, I hope we see each other in our next life." Seokjin smiled and Jimin started to sob.

Seokjin shook his head and climbed in the bed with Jimin, hugging him. Jimin snuggled close to him, he missed Seokjin.

Seokjin ended up falling asleep while hugging Jimin, and the next morning they said their final goodbyes.

"I'm moving away soon, I need to move to a city with a better hospital." Jimin explained, tears filling his eyes.

"Then I'll see you later." Seokjin smiled, "I'm sorry, but that means you'll have to stay alive a little longer." Jimin laughed.

"I was lying, I'm actually terrified of dying." Jimin wiped his tears away.

"I knew you were lying," Seokjin giggled, "I'll try my best to find you later."

Two days later, the Parks moved out. Seokjins mother had explained that it was a rare autoimmune disease, his body was killing itself.

Seokjin parked his car and sighed, he hated hospitals.
