We had been walking for a horrific amount of time when in the distance I could make out a large white building with red lights, like I saw before.

“What’s that building over there?” I asked, pointing towards the building. Toby stopped and smiled.

“That’s the Jaffa Factory. Its run by two people, a spaceman named Xephos and a dwarf named Honeydew. They seem to be quite nice people, though.” He said, and he continued walking. Before I followed him, I took another look at the factory and I was able to make out what looked like a Viking helmet. Smiling to myself, I turned back and ran to catch up with Toby.

Not long after, the pine trees began to change to cherry blossom trees, and we were met with a grey bricked pathway through the trees. Following Toby, I saw a small river flowing to the side, which had many lily pads and water flowers in it. It seemed like a quiet, peaceful area, and once we reached our desired location, I was met with a dojo which stood grand and elegant in the sun.

I continued to follow Toby, and as we walked closer to the doors, shouting became audible.

“Why did Parv have a Death Note in the first place?”

“How should I know?”

“Parv what the heck is wrong with you?”

“Well I’m sorry, Mr Jonathan ‘I-Built-An-Amazing-Dojo’ Kogan, but I find things, I pick them up and I make a profit!”

“How is killing people a profit? Also Kogie did pick this place up; it was in a magazine he found on the floor…”

I looked at Toby and he just shrugged and continued towards the door. Once he opened it we were both shock to what was behind the doors. A guy with jet black hair was sitting on the floor clutching a black book, whilst two others were looking at him angrily, wearing nothing but swimming trunks.

“Oh, uh, sorry. Is Sparkles* here?” Toby asked. The 3 men whipped their heads around in shock and stared at us for a few seconds before one of the swimming trunks guys that was wearing a beanie, pointed towards a door. Toby nodded and quickly ushered me to the next room. I turned the door handle and saw a bearded ginger man sitting on a chair playing guitar.

“Hey, Toby!” He said, greeting Toby with a high five. “And… is this Pluto?” He continued, motioning towards me. I nodded, slightly in shock that he knew my name.

“You must be Sparkles* then, nice to meet you!”! I said, shaking his hand. He smiled and motioned towards some chairs, so me and Toby sat down.

We sat talking for a while, occasionally interrupted by the guys in the other room arguing. I learnt that the guy with the black hair has called Parv, the guy with the beanie was called Leo and the other was Kogie.  I also found out that the grey skinned man was called Sips, the girl with the animal hat was Lomadia and the man with the lab coat was called Lalna.

Once Toby decided that it was time to go, I felt a bit happier. Sparkles* was a really nice person and we got along quite well. We decided that it was a good time to start heading back to Martyn, so we began our trek back to the boat.

As we were nearing the coast, Toby stopped suddenly and motioned for me to do the same. I stood as still as I could which was when I noticed the faint rustling of leaves that were gradually getting louder every moment that passed by. I was too focused on the sounds that I didn’t notice Toby grabbing onto my wrist and trying to pull me away.

We just about managed to get behind a tree when three people came out into the sunlight. I immediately recognised the shortest one as the grey skinned man that tried to kill me before. Seeing him again forced an audible gasp out of me, which seemed to attract the unwanted attention of the three people who were standing inches away from us.

Trying to stay as concealed and quiet as I possible could, I tilted my head to the side to see Toby, who was behind the tree next to me. He was sympathetically shaking his head when one of them appeared behind him and quickly hit him round the head with a sword, promptly knocking him out. As he fell backwards into the man’s grasp, I ran forward.

“Get off him you idiot!” I shouted, running towards him. I saw Sips running towards me so I continued running. I ran around the clearing slightly when I spotted a low hanging branch in a tree on the outskirts. Once I reached it I momentarily stopped and reached my good arm up so that I had a good grip on the branch and pulled myself up, using the trunk to push up with my legs.

Sips ran underneath and stood there for a second before motioning to someone to come to him. Crawling along the branch, I saw a man with tremendous facial hair and a woman with a brown dress come forward.  The man was holding a struggling Toby around his neck, whilst the woman wielded a sword.

“You have a choice to make, quickly, Pluto, surrender, and we will take you back to our headquarters with no harm done. If you refuse, we will find a way to get you there, no matter how much damage we do to you or your boyfriend here.” Sips said, smirking. I felt my cheeks getting hot and I saw Toby’s doing the same.

“He’s not my boyfriend!” I retaliated. The woman laughed and turned to face Sips. They both exchanged nods and suddenly Toby was jerked away by the man.

“I said to be quick. Too bad!” Sips said, with a menacing grin. I jumped down from the tree and drew Toby’s sword, with Sips doing the same.  We stood for a second before Sips spoke again. “

Poor Toby. He’s going to be stuck in a cell whilst you get tortured in a nearby room. Won’t that be the perfect end to a day out?”

“And why are you going to do that?” I said, growing more concerned each passing second.

“The same reason everyone else if dying to get their hands on you! You are sp-”

“Why does everyone keep saying that? Each person I’ve met has said the same thing, ‘You’re special’, and yet none of them have actually told me how or why! I would greatly appreciate it if everyone could just stop telling me this for once!” With the last word, I threw my arms out in frustration, causing a large volume of air to be sent in Sips’ direction, which knocked him back into a tree. We both stood for a moment in shock, before my body decided to freak out slightly. I raised my arms directly in front of me and watched in disbelief as more air was sent hurtling towards Sips.

“What’s happening to me?” I asked, on the verge of having a breakdown. Sips just continued to stare at me in shock.

“I never thought that it was true… it was bad enough with just Martyn…” He mumbled. “There’s the answer to your long unanswered question.”
