"Ohayo gozaima—" Rigaku's greeting interrupted a roar.
Freya grabbed her stomach. But it was his one demanding a proper filling.
"I'll order room service. Onegaishimasu, take a seat." He lifted his sore body into a half-sitting position as she rushed to help him. On his smartphone, he opened the app made for residents, featuring a daily menu, maps, and a quick way to call a driver to pick up or drop them.
He handed his phone to her. "This is what the apartment restaurant offers."
Her face turned wide as she saw the various meals they offered; from pasta to rice, or meats. Stars danced inside her emerald eyes.
"Don't hesitate to order anything."
She shook her head, her hair slapping her.
"Onegaishimasu. This is the least I can do for your trouble."
She rolled her eyes.
"Iie. You are too kind, not repaying you would haunt me, and my brothers would give me an earful later."
She looked up, thinking and giggling slightly. 'Can't argue with that.'
She scrolled through the menu, with no prices next to the meals, but with a double amount of info on what they were made of, including a list of allergens. 'There are so many of them.'
She got to sushi, and her stomach begged her to pick already. Not to mention her mouth watered. It had been eons since she had sushi. She stopped scrolling further and showed the menu she would like to get.
Rigaku watched her with a small smile before she noticed, and he looked away, adjusting his glasses. "Sumimasen, I've been staring at you."
She blinked, touching her burned face.
"I didn't mean that. You were making hilarious expressions." As those words left his mouth, he realized this sounded even worse.
Freya grinned, hiding her head between her shoulders. 'I guess.' A slight red shade found its way up their cheeks.
"So, sushi it is?"
She nodded, breaking the stillness and handing him his phone. Rigaku pondered only for a short while about his choice, adding a few drinks as well. He narrowed his choices according to his health, settling with a soup and green tea to not upset his stomach.
In all honesty, the good night's rest did wonders for his feverish body. On the other hand, it made him extremely sweaty.
"I'll go take a quick bath." He pushed the blanket away. "I'm fine. I can manage. But is this...?" He left his question unfinished as she rolled her eyes.
She picked a small note-paper from the nightstand, scribbling, "I will not nose-bleed from seeing you half-naked. That's anime stuff."
Rigaku adjusted his glasses. "Fair point. The meal should be here in twenty minutes." He entered the bathroom with a spare uniform.
