The stream of people poured inside, and flashes of light sparkled around. Girls flooded the Dreamy Boys' stall, picking their favorite. Ueno left out a sigh. Foolish of them to think that they could capture any of their hearts. Perhaps the youngest members would feel guilty for toying with them, but the seasoned ones wouldn't think twice.
"Ueno-chan," Mr. Okamoto called her, lacing his voice in honey.
Goosebumps danced across her body. She had to resist the urge to hug herself.
"Of course, let's start the tour." She lifted her notebook, where she had planned the entire day. Venturing inside, she saw groups taking photos and selfies by the fountain. It was one of the popular spots here.
Mr. Okamoto didn't wait for too long to steal a gentle touch of her skirt. Ueno braced herself.
"First, let's introduce Dreamy Boys!" She hopped forward, standing next to the stall as if she was showcasing a product in an ad. "Our most handsome students are ready to give any lost soul a tour around the fest, enjoying drinks and simple meals."
The reporter took the photo a few times, letting Ueno strike a few poses next to the boys that weren't picked yet. Among them was Mori, who was overseeing the ceremonies at the podium at a later time.
"Excuse me, Mister, I need to talk with Ueno-san for a short while." He bowed a bit, taking Ueno away.
Despite hating his guts, she welcomed the chance to get away from the smelly man.
"Where it is?" Mori asked.
"What are you talking about?"
"You know what I'm talking about." His face darkened.
"Look, I don't have time to decipher your stupidity, so either says it or let me do my job."
Tightening the fists, he needed all his willpower to not crush his teeth. "That video."
Ueno needed a second to comprehend it, as she expected him to ask about the Garden Parade winner. "Oh, that? In a safe place. No need to worry."
The color of his skin didn't change. "You..."
"Now, if you excuse me, I have a tour to guide." She stepped toward the perverted man. "And I'm taking over announcing Garden Parade winner since it seems you aren't interested in it at all." She gave him a stare before putting up a playful smile. "I'm sorry for the delay. This event is always so busy."
"I would wait till the end of time for such a beauty." Mr. Okamoto-san's remark didn't make her feel pretty. It disgusted her, and she almost wished to turn uglier.
On the way to a stall with souvenirs, he stumbled, catching her hand and caressing his cheek over her arm. Without a single hesitation, she brushed it, pretending she didn't mind. This was her last tour. She could bottle it up for one more day.
