Nothing will happen unless you'll take a risk.I halted my pace, still contemplating whether I should really get inside, inside the venue where our alumni homecoming will take place.
Actually I didn't really wanna come. Basic cause, I don't want to bump into someone that is really unnecessary for me to meet, that's it, nothing more, nothing less, but my very good friend successfully persuaded me to come. Since the both of us we're so busy lately, we didn't have any spare time to meet, we just contacted through calls and texts but never met.
I came back from L.A. just recently and I'm really missing her, for almost six years of not being with her, why wouldn't I?
I'm just glad that we still stayed as friends even though we're distant. She said, meeting today, will be an opportunity for us to catch up and also to our old friends.
I took the deepest breath that I could before gathering all the courage that I could possibly have and went in.
The deafening music and bright laser lights welcomed me first thing. My eyes travelled around the place, hoping to see any sight of my best friend, but all I could see we're few familiar faces and majority weren't.There was a lot of tall tables surrounded by people chatting with their acquaintances, and there was a big buffet on the long table on the side.
I tiptoed a little, glancing at every table. Where could she possibly be?
Immediately, my face lit up when I saw her familiar back figure.
I walked closer to her and saw that she was also busy chatting with people at the same table with her.
I slowed down my pace, taking up some time, waiting for her to finish talking with them. But she suddenly glanced at my direction, and I wasn't even still close to her yet. Despite the blinding lights, I saw her eyes rounded when she saw me. I forged an awkward smile while she still had this surprised look plastered all over her face, but in no time she excitedly jogged towards me.
"I thought I was just seeing things! You really came!", She squealed and pulled me into a tight hug after. I just chuckled and caressed her back.
"Well, you're really good in persuading!", She laughed as we both broke the hug.
"I really missed you!"
"Me too! A lot.", My throat already hurts from the yelling but it was still worth it. We stared at each other for awhile before broking into laughter at the same time.
She held my hand."Soha Seokmin are here too, shall we?", I excitedly nodded my head before she pulled me towards where she was earlier.
When we were already there, they were really there and their eyes are on us. I excitedly waved at them and the surprised and confused look on their faces were evident.
"Liseu? Wah, It's been awhile!", My classmate, Seokmin said and slightly waved his hand.
"Yeah! It has been! We really missed you!", My other classmate, Soha, who was right beside Seokmin, added.
"I missed the both of you too!", I reached for their hands and intertwined them, shaking them a little. Who knew how fun it would've been if I continued second year here and up to we graduated.
"It has already been almost 6 years since I last saw you, and now you look really different, and it's a good different.", Ari, obviously, joked. I quickly shook my head but Seokmin and Soha were nodding their heads.
"No, it's just my hair that is different. You're the ones who glowed up", I awkwardly laughed, looking at the three of them one after another.
The three of them looked really different from the last time I saw them, and Ari, she became more prettier, and I'm sure everyone thinks so too. I question her almost a thousand times on why did she suddenly approached me and eventually became my friend and her answer would always be because I'm me and she said that she doesn't have any reasons for her to be my friend.
