Chapter 6

I quickly looked down and bowed my head, before walking fast to whenever my feet drag me just to get away from him.

'I hope he didn't recognize me..'

I ended up going to the bathroom, and the first thing that I did was to look at the mirror, though I'm looking at myself, all I see was him, Yoon Jeonghan.

I'd be lying if I say that I don't miss his presence, because I do. I thought the moment I left Korea and keep a distance from him, my feelings would slowly fade but it didn't instead I fell for him more and more than I thought I could.

'You shouldn't be like this, show them that you are much better now.'

I furrowed my brows and balled my hands into a tight fist.

'But I can't do it, I'm still the same. The one who always carelessly bump into someone, the who acts so brave on the inside but is actually not on the outside.'

My shoulders immediately dropped along with my brows.

'At Least I can try, I can do it. Like what you thought to yourself back in America.'

I firmly smiled before turning around to go out and go back to our table.

"What took you so long?", Ari asked the moment I went back. She looked at both of my hands and continued, "And, where is your drink?", I didn't think about this. What should I tell her?

"I-Uh, I suddenly felt full and just decided to not grab one.", I forged a laugh and she just raised her brows at me which made look at her in confusion.

"Why?", I asked and her brows immediately dropped.

"Nothing, you just seem odd.", She looked at me from up to down, and laughed eventually."Come on, let's just have fun.", She pulled me closer to the table, and all throughout the party, we just chatted along with lots of laughter's.

It's a relief that I didn't get to see him again that night, or else who knows what stupid thing that I would do.

Two weeks passed and all throughout that weeks, all I did was to study and took care of everything regarding my plans about building my own restaurant, everything went smooth and now all I need is to start my business which is very near now.

After my last day on the institute, I decided to take a stroll on the streets of Dongdaemun, the neon colored light signs and the street lights beautifully illuminates the whole place.

I wasn't planning on doing something like shopping or eating at some restaurants, all I wanted and did was to just take some slow walks around, admiring the busy place, I intentionally left my car earlier just to have this kind of healing time

While I was busy enjoying myself, looking at the passing cars and for some time diverting my eyes to the stores and restaurants, I halted when I saw someone really familiar inside this fancy looking restaurant.
I looked closer and when I saw his face clearer, my eyes widened.

'Yoon Jeonghan.'

I was about to walk away fast just so he won't see me, I halted again when I suddenly saw him smile to a girl who is sitting across him, her back facing me. I could tell that she was also form a wealthy family just by looking at her back, her sparkly dress and her long brown semi curly hair.

For a long moment, I found myself frozen on my spot, I couldn't stop staring at him, the way he smile and sometimes chuckle to her, made me had some mix feelings.
I'm happy that he's all so smiley now and that he's doing great like how I expect him to be it's with someone, but I can't deny this part of me who is envious because those smile that he's having on his face is all just for one girl, the girl who is infront of him and it's not me.

I took a deep sigh, before smiling faintly and walk away.

'I guess he's happy now and I shouldn't get in the way with his happiness with her.'

ring~ring~ring~

I woke up at the sound of my phone ringing because of a call, I didn't bother to look at the caller's ID and just put it on my ears with my eyes still closed.

"Hello?", I asked and scratched my cheeks.

"Hey, Liseu!", Ari squealed through the line which made me part my phone from my ear, I opened my eyes and furrowed my brows before bringing back my phone to my ear.

"Omg!! I'm so excited!", She then again squealed which made part my phone again from my ears.

"What..?, What are you talking about..?",

"Soha's birthday is coming!", She excitedly said and I could tell that she's jumping up and down by her breathes that I could hear through the line.

"She said she would celebrate it at a beach resort, and!", She took a deep breath, "and she wants to invite us, gosh I'm so excited!", I just forged a laugh, I'd be busy these days and I don't think I can come. I know she'd be really disappointed but I have no choice.

"Ari, I'm really really sorry but, I can't go, sorry.", I heard her squeal disappear

"Why?"

"I'm pretty much busy these days because of the transactions of my restaurant, sorry.", I sighed and looked down.

"Well, I have a good news. Soha's birthday will be next month, you still have lots of time.", Her voice brightened up a bit. Let's see, the only thing that I need to do is to design my restaurant and hire some people then I'll be done.

"Ah really?, It's a relief then..., Okay I'm going too.", I whispered squeal and she did too, we both laughed. I'm excited too, it has been awhile since I got to take a vacation and plus it's with my friends.

I went inside to my newly designed restaurant and I couldn't help myself from being amazed by the interior design, everything was modernized with a hint of fanciness, it was just like how I dreamed and imagined it would be.

"Waah, it's really beautiful.", I looked at Ari beside me who is looking around with her jaw dropped. I smiled and took a deep breath.

"Come on, we should sit there and wait for them to come.", I walked first to one of the tables while Ari followed behind me. Well, this is why Ari came with me here, to accompany me in interviewing the new employees.

"I'm a bit nervous.", I said under my breath and looked infront, spacing out.

"Why?, Come on you shouldn't be, you're the owner of this restaurant, and plus, you're not even the one who will be interviewed.",
I could see in my peripheral vision that she looked at me. I took a very deep breath then again.

'She's right. Come on Liseu, you can do this!'

"Okay, let's do this.", I firmly said and smiled confidently.

The whole interview finished after an hour and half and I managed to hire the best and the experienced ones. Everything went by smoothly until night, I told Ari to go first while I finish something's inside.

When I was finished, I closed everything and went outside to my car, but when I was almost close to go my car I bumped into someone causing my keys to fell on the ground. I was looking for my car keys inside my bag that I didn't saw him. I was about to crouch to get my keys but he did it first.

"Here, and sorry.", That familiar voice, I slowly looked up to see his face, I gasped when our eyes met and my heart started beating uncontrollably.

"J-Jeonghan?", His mouth parted a bit when he saw me too.

"So you're really here?", My brows furrowed immediately. Was he expecting me? There's no way.

I quickly grabbed my keys from his hands.

"Thank you.", I walked passed him and hurriedly started the engines as soon as I got inside my car.

'Why does he have to be here of all places?'
