Alana had built up here courage and asked,
"Can I kiss you?"
And, too her surprise Zoe had responded,
"Sure."
Alana desperately trying to keep her heart rate down, leaned down and gently kissed her on the fore head. Only, when she tried to pull up, smiling like a mad woman, Zoe pulled her face back down and kissed her on the lips. Not as gently as Alana's kiss, but it was still perfect. After a moment of shock, Alana kissed back. The kiss became more heated and Zoe had flipped her so her back was on the bed, but before things could escalate further, the door opened. (Ha! You thought, no smut today! And may I say, that did escalate quickly lmao and they're relationship won't be this quick)
Mrs. Murphy had opened it.
"Zoe?!" She asked, more yelled at the sight infront of her. The girls jumped away from eachother. Alana was in a sort of loopy state from the kiss. After all, the girl she had had a crush on for years, had pulled her in for a kiss, not just a kiss, a passionate one. But wasn't it too soon, they had just said they liked eachother, they hadn't even said they were going to date. Oh god, did she just mess it all up. She had her first kiss with a girl, sure she was her soulmate, but that doesn't give an excuse for her rash decisions. Alana began to scold herself, and then remembered that Zoe's mother was in the room.
And her mother just stared in utter shock.
"You....a girl....kissed....imma just excuse myself, you guys have fun...."
She slowly closed the door and right as it was about to shut, Zoe ran and grabbed her arm.
"No mom! You don't understand..."
Zoe began to break down. Tears rushed down her face, stinging her eyes. She cried ugly, deep throating sobs. Her mother just looked at her, and with what seemed to be a sort of maternal instinct, she knelt down, setting down her laundry and wiped her eyes. She whispered something in her ear Alana couldn't hear and she began to feel awkward...
"Should I just go....." Mrs. Murphy glared at her so she just shut her mouth.
After a few minutes, Zoe stopped crying, much to Alana's relief. She stood up and walked over to the bed, sitting on the opposite side, as far as she could get from Alana. Mrs. Murphy stood at the door way, picking up the laundry basket she had set down. She smiled and said,
"I won't tell dad, it'll be our little secret," she put her finger over her mouth with her free hand, " but lock the door next time," and closed the door.
Silence suffocated the girls. Alana spoke,
"Listen, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have-"
"I don't like you." The words hit her like a punch in the chest.
"What, but you-" Alana was so confused, she had been the one to kiss her, not he other way around.
"It was a lie." Every word cut like a knife, what did she mean?
"But you kissed-"
"Shut up! I don't know why I did that, but I don't like, much less love, you!" Zoe looked the other way, not daring to look Alana in the eye.
"Look me in the eyes!" Alana moved her head and they were full of guilt, "now say you don't at least like me." Zoe stayed silent.
"C'mon, just a few heart-breaking words and I'll leave."
"I-I, don't...." Zoe tried to finish the sentence, but failed.
"Please, if you don't like me, say it, this hurts more than those words..."
"I don't know! I've never liked a girl, and now one's my soulmate. And I don't even hate that its a girl, since it's you, and you're amazing, but my dad, he's a dick, he hates fags, and wouldn't I be considered one if I loved you? I just don't know how to say it, but that kiss with you was wonderful, I want to kiss you again and again, but I know if I did, it'd be wrong, but it wouldn't feel wrong since it's with you..." Zoe so ok so quick Alana could barely make out the words.
"So, you do like me?!" Zoe nodded and Alana immediately let go of her and hugged her close. Alana couldn't believe of the words that she just heard. She did want to kiss her again, and cuddle her close, and tell her she's beautiful, cause' she is, but she couldn't push it, so she just hugged her, and let her head lay on her shoulder. Even if it wasn't what she really wanted, if she died at this moment, she'd die happy. This was....perfect.
"Alana," Zoe said, looking up at her with a red face, "is it ok to want to kiss a girl?" Alana nodded.
"Then, if it's not a hassle, could, we, umm, kiss again?" Zoe looked so cute. Alana leaned down, initating the kiss this time, and very gently, pressed her lips into Zoe's, who kissed back instantly. Alana would stay in that moment if she could, but broke apart before it got as heated like last time. She laid down and motioned for Zoe to join her. She laid down her and hugged her waist. They ended up sleeping like that. Smiles on their faces.
(905 words, could be better, but I tried. I know that this was fast paced but I thought it would be a little more acceptable since they've been best friends for years, and if you're wondering how she ends up in Connors room, you'll see ;) I think it's a cute relationship, and yes, Larry be a bish cause this is a treebros fanfiction, it's just common knowledge, hope you enjoyed!)
