Zoe watched peacefully as Alana cuddled next to her, her chest slowly rising andnfallin as she slept. She couldn't have been her soulmate, she was too perfect. Except, she was, Alana Beck, her best friend, soulmate, hopefully girlfriend, eventually. Since she as her soulmate, they'd have to accept her, right? It wasn't her fault fate had made her female. Or that she liked girls, at least this one. She ran a finger through the sleeping girls hair. Maybe, it wouldn't be like it was with Connor, no yelling or fighting, afterall, those boys weren't the one he was meant to be with, Alana was who she was meant to be with. Maybe this could work, Alana was worth the fight, she was worth everything Zoe could offer. Zoe could at least try to make it work. Still, she didn't love her, not yet. A few kisses didn't mean anything. But, god, did Zoe like her. She, very carefully as not to wake Alana up, grabbed her phone and checked the time, it read,

"12:13, Tue, September 6"

She then, as quietly as she could, shook Alana like a mad man, and whisper yelled in her ear,

"Wake up!"

Alana woke abruptly, fixing her glasses.

"Mom? What am I doing in-OMG! Zoe?!"

"Shhhh, you're gonna wake mom and dad."

Alana shut her mouth.

"C'mon, you gotta get home before you're mom gets worried."

Alana nodded, unwrapping her arms from Zoe and standing up.

Zoe opened the door, leading her down the hallway, and going down the stairs, passing Connor's empty room. Though, she paid it no mind.

They made it too the door, grinning. Alana then uttered a quick,

"Thanks, for everything,"

Before skipping down the pavement, but turning on her heels really quick, she ran up to Zoe, giving her a quick peck on the lips. Zoe was shocked, but she grabbed Alana before she could run away, and kissed her. The kiss didn't last long, but it felt like forever. When Zoe finally did pull away, Alana, who had a bright blush covering her face, walked away slowly. Zoe closed the door, sighing loudly, eyes closed in pure glee.

"What-what was that?!"

Zoe's eyes opened as quickly as they closed to see her father, in complete shock.

"Dad!"

She tried to back up as he neared her, but her back was already against the wall.

"Dad, it's not, she's-"

"She's what? A friend?"

"No! She's my-"

"She's a GIRL!"

"She's my SOULMATE!"

That shut him up. He backed away, as if she had some sort of illness. (#coronavirus)

"Leave.....my.....sight."

"But-"

"No buts! Leave before I do something we both regret."

Zoe's eyes began to fill up with tears as she bolted upstairs. She ran into the first available room. Crawling into the bed, wrapping her arms around the first pillow, ignoring the smell of ciggerettes and weed.

There she cried until the door opened until her brother walked in.

(You know what happens next, sorry for the short chapter, I got grounded so I couldn't update it, sorry again...And I changed it, let's just say that she changed her story when talking to Connor because, she knew that if she told the truth, she would have to admit to someone she hated, that she was a lot like him)
