Chapter 12: A Pain that Kills

RENZO hisses as he put an ice pack in his soring lip. Napakalakas pala talagang sumuntok ng kapatid ni Rovi. That was once pero parang nabundol na sya ng ligaw na meteor

"Hello? Ah! Shit" he cuss as he answered the phone

"It's that bad. Renzo, ako na humihingi ng tawad sa ginawa ng kapatid ko"

"A—ayos lang, no need. Di ka ba pupunta dito?" He's coveting for his presence

"I want to. But my brother just won't let me" he heard him sigh on the other line

Mapakla syang natawa at saka plastikadong ngumiti
"No, it's okay. I need to rest din naman. Mag-iingat ka. You're with the beast" he chuckled softly before cutting the call off

"Ah shit!" He hissed once more when he placed the ice pack on the edge of his lip. He can't take the pain anymore kaya naman tumayo na sya to fetch himself some painkillers

He checked on the first aid kit. Wala!
He looked at the medicine cabinet. Wala rin
Binuksan niya ang drawer sa tabu ng kanyang kama ngunit maging dito ay walang pain killer

Damn, this pain must be killed before this pain kill him for good

"Ah! Damn this!" He throws the ice bag out of agony. It stings him once more and he couldn't take it anymore. But that doesn't satisfy him. Pinulot niya itong muli at saka akmang ibabato ng biglang

*Knocks*

Wala sa sariling namuo ang ngiti sa pisngi ng binata ng marinig iyon. That must be him. His cardiologist. His living painkiller.

Mabilis niyang binuksan ang pinto sa kasabikang makita at mahagkan ang ruso ngunit laking gulat niya ng…

"H—hi Renzo! I've heard someone punched you kaya nagmadali akong tapusin ang shift ko to watch over you.  I've brought some paib killers. Lemme help you please?" It was him. Keann Max.

Wala syang nagawa kundi ang papasukin ito sa loob at hayaang gamutin siya nito.

"Have a seat deep cheeks" panunutya nito. He's just frozen from hearing that habang dahan dahan naman nitong inilabas ang mga gamit niya

"Nakakatawa no?"

" Ang alin?" He confusedly asked

"Na kayong mga doctor, you heal a lot of people pero minsan you need someone to take care for you" he just rolled his eyes from hearing that.

"Tao rin naman kaming mga doctor. Nasasaktan, nagkakasakit at higit sa lahat nagma—

"Nagmamahal" he was cut off by the guy.
Inabot nito ang ice bag na hawak niya at marahang inilapat sa kanyang pasa

"Dito ka lang. Magluluto ako, you can't drink your medicines in an empty stomach" malambing niton sabi.

Now Renzo is confused. Why is he like that to him? He must know that Rovi is hitting him.
Or maybe he's just too skeptical. He doesn't know.

After he drink his meds, tinulungan siya nitong maghilamos. It takes off his shirt and gently wipes his body with a towel.

Para siyang pasyente and his ex was his nurse and good heavens! He's good at it. Ramdam ni Renzo ang maingat nitong mga haplos sa kanyang mga balat.

"Bakit mo ginagawa ito?" He asked Straightly.
Nangiti lang ang lalaki bago matiim na sumagot

"I wanna win you back"

"Ha?! Are you crazy?" Tumigil ito sa pagpupunas sa kanya at tiningnan ng marahan ang kanyang mga mata

"Yes, I am crazy over you Renzo" walang ano-anong sinunggaban nito ang kanyang mga labi

It's a passionate kiss but it's one sided. Tinutulak niya ito palayo but he's too weak. He's getting drowsy and he's losing strength

The only thing he remembered was him getting on his top as he ravishes his body

ROVI throw a frown face at him

"Seriously? 70 thousand Euros?! E pinagliitan lang ni daddy yang suot mo"

"But he gave it to me, oh come on lil Lucifer. That's how a Varshavski gain wealth" napangiwi siya ng marinig iyon. He can't be serious

"I'll give it back to him"

"Ha bakit naman? That's money"

"Binigay nya sa akin"

"Because binuraot mo sya and not just that sinuntok mo pa"

"He deserved it" napasapo nalang sa noo ang Ruso sa kapilyuhan ng kanyang kapatid. Yeah. It is his brother. Rusty Varshavski. A con artist.

No wonder why he tricked Renzo that fast

"You need to apologize to him"

" What for?"

"For punching him scumbag!"

"Sinabihan niya ako ng masama"

"But it's true"

"Awe lil bro, you're hurting my feelings. Kinakampihan mo yun. Tsaka di naman malakas yung pagkakasuntok ko"

"Di malakas ha"he punched his brother

"Fuck lil lucifer! Ang sakit nun ah"

"Yeah yeah whatever. Bakit ba ang overprotective mo sa kanya? Boyfriend mo ba sya?"

"Oo"

"What?!" Natigilan sya ng mapagtanto ang kanyang sinabi

"I mean Oo, he's a boy and he's my friend"

"Ahhh akala ko ano na. I don't want someone like him to become a part of the family" he gulped upon hearing that

"Talaga?"

"Oo, good thing friend mo lang sya. Let's eat? I'm hungry. I wanna some Filipina. I mean foods cooked by Filipina"

He sighed before laughing softly. Bigla syang naguilty at natakot na rin. This kind of relationship is more chaotic than he thought

Madaling araw ng magising si ROVI, he checked on his brother and it's sleeping kaya naman napangiti sya. It's a chance for him to get on Renzo

Kinuha niya ang tseke at saka dumaan sa isang cafe to get him some tea and sweet pastries too. Hoping that these could help in his recovery

He's like a loverboy holding flowers to court someone with those foods. Napakalaki ng ngiti sa kanyang mukha. Damn. Iba talaga kapag inlove

He makes three knocks at the door and flashes a sweet smile as he waits for him to open the door.

But his world shatters on the next thing that happen.

It's him. Nurse max that opens the door. He's naked and just wearing a boxer. He tried to look for Renzo but he failed

Para siyang binuhusan ng malamig na yelo

"What's your problem?" Hindi sya umimik.

It's like his heart was crumpled and it stops him from uttering a word.
Pilit nyang kinakalma ang sarili. Convincing his inner self that nothing fishy happens. it's not what it looks like

"Ano? Wala kang sasabihin? Istorbo ka"

"Ah! Pakibigay pala ito kay Doc Lee. Pakisabi sorry na rin"

Mabilis niyang inabot ang lahat ng dala at saka nagmamadaling naglakad palayo
Kasing bilis ng kanyang pagtakbo ang pagtulo ng luha sa kanyang mata..
