The next day was hard for Max. She spent the night crying, blaming herself for her shitty life, repeating her that she certainly deserved it. She went to work, but it was like if she was watching someone working, like if she wasn't inside her body. She didn't call Gary yet, she needed to think before, but when she would, his ears would bleed until his death.

- "You didn't sleep a lot, right?"

Max had a small startle and looked up to see Jane pressing her head with a tensed face. She was with the policeman who was dating Will's mother.

- "So did you," answered the redhead. "You got arrested?"

- "Yeah, I guess."

- "I didn't arrest you. I brought you to hospital for your arm and you finished in my bed," explained Hopper.

- "What!? That's disgusting!" got angry Max.

- "What? No! Not like that! I've an empty room with a bed, she slept there, not me, I was on my couch! Oh my god, what do you have in your mind!? You know me, I'm not like that!"

Max lightly rolled her eyes, not really in the mood to talk to people.

- "What can I do for you?" sighed the redhead.

- "We'll take...uh...you want a coffee?" told Hopper.

- "Nah, I'll take a hot chocolate," mumbled Jane.

- "Ok, a hot chocolate and a black coffee with two donuts."

- "18 dollars. (Hopper pays) I bring you that."

Max prepared the drinks while Jane and Hopper sat at their table. The brunette was looking at her stitches on her arm while Hopper was watching her to be sure she wouldn't tear them off. The redhead brought their order without even looking at them.

- "What did you do to her?" asked Hopper with an amused tone.

- "I opened her eyes," mumbled Jane.

- "Um, ok, can I know how?"

- "I fucked her pal."

Hopper choked in his coffee which made laugh the young girl in front of him.

- "You did what?"

- "You heard," smirked Jane.

- "But why?"

- "He was hard."

- "Ok, I take it back, I don't wanna know why."

Jane lightly chuckled while Hopper rolled his eyes and shook his head. Max reappeared at their table with a glass of water and an aspirin in it.

- "Do you remember what happened last night?" asked the redhead.

- "Of course I do, I wasn't this drunk!"

Hopper pouted, remembering how she was when he found her wandering in the middle of the road while she was bleeding.

- "I hold well my drink, but other substances began to work when I left. Anyway, why do you ask me that?"

- "Nothing. Forget it."

- "Don't beat about the bush, just go to the point!"

- "You told me that you were not his first...mistress, what did he say to you exactly?" asked Max.

- "Well, that I was a good lay, which is true, a better lay than the last ones. Something like that."

- "Oh, great...that's great...Nothing else? He didn't tell you why he needed to fuck other girls!?"
