Max arrived in front of the restaurant, where she was supposed to eat with Gary, Neil, and her mother. Well, she wasn't sure she could call this place a "restaurant", it looked more like a bar or something like that, not a place for her, but anyway, she was there, and she wanted this dinner to end as fast as possible to get rid of Gary. She entered without struggling and saw them at a table. She wondered why it was in a place like this, there were strippers just at a few meters of them doing their shows.

- "Hey," said Max with no enthusiasm while she was sitting next to Gary.

- "You're late," told Neil.

- "I got lost, it's not really easy to find. Why here, by the way?"

- "I like this place."

- "Well, I don't!"

- "But nobody asked your opinion, Maxine."

Max didn't answer, she didn't care anymore, he could say whatever he wanted, she wouldn't keep it in mind. It wasn't like if they were important for her. She spent a good part of the dinner nodding at what he was saying, more like a reflex than for agreement. She stopped listening when he began to sing Gary's praises. She was sure if he knew that Gary cheated on her, he would congratulate him. She let him talk all night while her mother was vigorously supporting him, and Gary was laughing at all his jokes. They were all pathetic. At least, she could see the girls' shows from her seat, and she wasn't missing a second of it. She wasn't fan of these kinds of representations, but it was the only "good" thing in this place, and the girls were hot, even if she was thinking they were too young to do a job like that.

But another girl caught her attention. Jane was standing next to a red curtain, looking around. When she met her eyes, the brunette seemed as surprised as her to see her in a place like that. Neil snapping his fingers in front of her brought her back to Earth.

- "What!?" replied Max with an upset.

- "Change your tone, young girl, and don't look at those sluts like that, fucking dyke!"

- "Don't bring us in a place like that next time!"

Neil hit the table with the palm of his hand, making startle the table and the ones around. A man, drunk, who was at the bar decided to intervene. As he was too drunk to talk, he grabbed Neil by his shirt and threw him on another table. The bar didn't need more to begin a real fight. It happened so fast that Max wondered if it was real or not. The chair flying in her direction confirmed it was real. She tried to go in the crowd to reach the door, but a punch stopped her on her way, making her fall on the ground. People fighting didn't care about her, they were crushing her with their feet, sometimes kicking her without knowing it. Luckily, a hand helped her to stand and took her away from this. When she looked at her savior, she recognized the blonde girl.

- "Go behind the curtain, there is a door at the back of the backstage to go outside," said Mallory, letting go her arm.

- "What about you?" asked Max.

- "I've to find Jane."

- "You don't need help?"

- "I can handle Jane, just go!"

- "Ok, thank you."

The redhead went behind the curtain, ran in the corridor where she saw things she would have preferred not see, and finally found the door at the back of the room. She arrived in the dark night, which was strangely calm compared to the storm inside the bar. It was a little too quiet, there was no one around; she didn't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing. She went on her left, took the street on the left, which was full of dumpsters, kept walking to the end of this street to finally go on the left where the front door was. She didn't go too close as there were many angry men fighting in the stairs, so she stayed on the corner. She was a bit lost, not really knowing what to do or where to go.
