three: just one day
"Even if it's in my dream, just one day Out of all those words I had to swallow, because of the excuse of reality."

"she's getting married, no joke."
Elianna walks back and forth along the rectangular carpet. she's in her apartment living room, friend in front of her as she voices her thoughts. she knows she should've waited for Shira to tell everyone but she couldn't help blurting it out, she needed to tell someone... and that is Kim Seokjin.
"you're serious?"
Jin's shocked as he processes Elianna's rushed words. she's getting engaged, she said as soon as he walked in. he had to sit down, script in hand as he looked at his best friend in bewilderment. "she's what? engaged?"
Jin questions again. he sits upright, elbows resting on knees as he grows annoyed with Elianna walking back and forth. she can't stand in one place and he needs to process. "was she planning on telling all of us?" he can't help but feel a little hurt. he's known Shira along with Elianna since they were kids and she didn't tell them until now, when her wedding is the next big thing they'll have to attend?
Jin bites on his bottom lip as he stares at the carpet that matches his light brown strands. his hand continues to grasp onto the edge of his detailed script. he has an audition tomorrow and actually, he came here to practice his lines. what he didn't expect was to be told something that would change the course of his friendship with Shira.
"probably." Elianna stops walking and Jin is relieved. she stands in front of him with her arms crossed over her leather jacket. it's one out of many but this one is plain, unable to be zipped due to its tightness. "she seemed like she wanted to tell us all at the right time, separately." she reassures Jin in her explanation, gazing at his blank face.
"i'm just surprised that's all." Jin speaks slowly. he doesn't know what to say. a part of him wants to confront Shira but what would he even say? i'm happy for you. who's the lucky guy? "she's our childhood best friend and we didn't know?" he feels disappointed in her but is already over it.
"anyway, fuck that." Jin waves his hand, grabbing Elianna's attention as she observes him with her dark, bronze eyes. he's probably the only person who doesn't feel intimidated under her gaze. "help me with my lines will you?"
Elianna sighs. she has to go to work soon and visit Zelda and Jimin's new florist. she tries her best to balance her friendships, family and work life but one always ends up being more important. "can't you ask Namjoon?" she blurts out and immediately frowns. "i'm sorry. that was too soon."
Elianna notices how Jin keeps his blank expression stable. he simply blinks his brown eyes at her and she does the same, not backing down. "how are you feeling about him anyway?"
"i don't want to talk about it."
Elianna has heard those words far too many times in all the years that she's known Jin. "oh come on, you always bottle everything up." she pats his knee covered in ripped jeans. Jin and Elianna are similar in many ways but when it comes to feelings, Jin prefers not to talk at all and Elianna talks when she's ready or when she's angry. "i mention his name or that Valentina girl you were with and you just clam up..."
