four: strange
"Someone tell me whether life is pain
Well, well
If there is a God, tell me whether life is happiness"//
Jungkook can't stop thinking about yesterday.
it's as if his mind has control over him, the way it has all these years. ever since the unexpected moment shared between him and Elianna, he couldn't stop thinking about how she looked, how their eyes met, the feeling in his stomach and their memories. seeing her brought up so much pain and love. his mind is forcing him to think certain thoughts and feel certain emotions.
the male is conflicted, confused, annoyed at himself and utterly heartbroken. when he woke up the next day, the first thing he thought about was her. Elianna, he said out loud in a whisper and rubbed his eyes with a heavy heart.
why don't you overthink about how much she hates you. isn't it just splendid that you got to see her after so long yet she couldn't stand to see you? how tragic!
the boy dwells on everything. seeing his ex yesterday made his mood worse and his irritation grew as the day passed. he didn't expect to see her. they usually never run into each other and avoidance is something they've both gotten pretty good at.
then he saw her in all her glory. black leather and high cheekbones. he felt like he was at that party all those years ago, when he saw her for the first time. she looked beautiful just standing there in Jimin and Zelda's florist. she had no idea just how much it impacted Jungkook to see her wearing a familiar leather jacket, hair pushed behind her pierced ears as her lips parted in surprise. he could see her hands shaking.
his eyes dragged down every one of her features and it killed him when she walked away when he said her name. saying her name still felt luscious and his heart was beating furiously. he obviously expected the harsh reaction which he deserved but he so badly wanted to run after her. Jimin stopped him.
even if he did, he would've cried and made a fool of himself. he's still the same old Kookie, running after her is something he doesn't have the nerve to do.
but he could easily leave her and he beats himself up about it everyday.
now, Jungkook is trying to move on because he's certain Elianna is doing the same thing. it's resulting in him trying to love Valeria.
the truth is, he doesn't love her but he thinks that if he tries hard enough, he'll be able to love her. love happens when you put the effort in right? the duo is merry and sweet, she's good to him but he feels like his love is forced. it may be appreciation and simple likeness but he doesn't think it's love just yet. things will fall into place.
the boy has been trying.
today, the couple finally agreed to meet up so Val could express her thoughts. after the message she sent, she stated that it would be better if they talked in person about what has been on her mind. Jungkook agrees and buys flowers from Flores in Love. he has no idea what she wants to discuss.
"hey." the boy arrives at Valeria's apartment. he has a key despite the fact that he was not ready for such a step. even now, he feels awkward just putting the key away.
Jungkook smiles, sensing the tension as soon as he steps into her apartment. it's messy, not neat like his. he admires Valeria and her many characteristics. she's polite, friendly and independent. he notices an interesting art piece on the wall, it quotes: 'my love feels like a facade' and Jungkook's throat dries up. he runs his hands down his flannel, eyes blinking as he takes in the sight of his girlfriend who smiles.
