twelve: seesaw
"Maybe it was my greed trying to match myself with you
If it was love, and if this is what love means
Is there really a need to keep repeating ourselves
We're tired of each other, yet seem to be holding the same cards."//
Jin's house has been a place for many occasions, mainly Elianna's parties. party at E's was a well known term for the people of youth.
although, their friendship group has changed massively. the atmosphere remains the same. Jin's house is packed in celebration for Shira's wedding. the party is one without the older adults and family guests. it's as if they're back at university again, surrounded by strangers but this time, their group is bigger and closer.
many of them have changed in manner and personality, some with different appearances due to changed fashion and dyed hair. couples have been moulded and new friendships have grown into beautiful flowers. a lot has changed since their last party.
so the next three days are about to consist of activities and events leading up to the big day. today's a party hosted by Jin at his large house. he never stays there often, feeling too lonely as his family also moved out.
Jungkook looks around, eyes glancing over his many friends that scatter across the large rooms. he runs his hands down his cargo pants, fiddling with the end of his baggy shirt. this is the exact spot where he first laid eyes on Elianna all those years ago. now she's here and they have a past.
he's not sure if they'll ever have a future together.
this is where they met. Jin's house. at a party that was too loud for his ears and he felt suffocated. the feeling is exactly the same, he feels as if he could puke on a girl all over again.
the truth is, Elianna was the first girl he felt comfortable with. the one girl who challenged him and didn't make him feel so nervous.
plus, if he puked on her, she would've never seen him again. a small smile flicks onto his lips when he starts to imagine the situation. it brings him comfort as he stands alone at the party that's packed and loud.
it's not just any party though. it's technically Shira's version of a hen and bachelor party combined. she wants to spend one good, final night with her best of friends. her family like group. so entertainment has been provided, music and dancing.
claustrophobic Jungkook notices Jin and Elianna judging people on the dance floor, Hoseok covering Elisa's eyes when they notice a couple making out aggressively (Taehyung and Talulah), Shira is still getting ready upstairs, Jimin at the bar with Namjoon as they chat quietly and lastly Zelda who's writing at a messy table with drinks.
"what are you doing?" Jungkook asks, glad of the distraction and the fact that he gets to chat to his friend. everyone always has different schedules as working adults and problems. it's gotten harder over the years as they've grown older to make time for each other. but the wedding arrangements and events has created the perfect excuse to hang out.
his anxiety lessens as he pushes away empty, alcohol smelling, plastic cups. he's not sure how Zelda is writing in such a hot, sticky and messy environment. there's cups all around her and she's just seated in the middle of the mess, typing away.
