It was dark. There was no stars in the sky instead a large brooding ash cloud, thrusting lightning, screaming thunder and crying rain. As the clouds morned the loss of the sun, they became oblivious to the young girl beneath them covered in bruises...
When Abi woke up she had a extreme migraine, it felt like her brain was pounding on her skull. Her throat was dry and stretchy, and her bones ached.
"Ah fuck" she groand forcing her eyes open, only it blink ferociously blinded by light. She laid her arm on her eyes for a few seconds gently introducing her blue eyes to the light, that was brighter then her future. She then slowly and painfully pushed her bodies into a sitting position and looked around her.
Abi noticed all the beds and the other sick people, and so figured she was in some sort of hospital.
"Oh! Your wake" said a voice which made her jump and turn so fast she could have gotten wip lash. There stood a girl who looked about 14 grinning at her
"hi I'm poppy!" She said thrusting her arm out in welcome. Abi flinched then blinked and poppy.
".....Abi" she croaked
Poppy smiled "I'm sorry for asking but can I have your full name please? It's for the medical records" she said after Abi's suspicious look. Abi cleared her throat
"Abi Cassiopeia Elizabeth Artic"
"Okay Abs-" Abi's eyes widened as a memory hit her, "Come on Abs-" taunted the voice "-lets play"
"-Dont call me that" Poppy frowned
"Dont call you what?"
"Abs" the girl said a broken expression on her face
"Okay" poppy said softly "Do you want me to just call you by your first name then?" Abi only shook her head
"what else do you want me to call you?"
"Anything else"
Poppy thought for a moment "what about Cass?"
The brunette nodded and rubbed her throat. Poppy quickly gave the water that she had to her and smiled "I'll get you some food later"
Cass nodded "thank you"
A few awkward seconds passed before Poppy relised something "oh! I forgot. Stay here I'm going to get a teacher" and rushed off before Cass could say anything.
Cass huffed and quietly lifted her tired legs over the edge of the bed a gently slipped her legs into the shoes that laid on the floor. She refused to be trapped again, never again was she going to be controlled. Never
Cass got to her feet and wobbled slightly having to use the wall to keep her stable. She sighed in annoyance, trying her hardest to ignore the blistering pain in her left foot and the numbing ache in her legs. Cass watched the people around her making sure she could get out without being seen.
Limping she managed to slip out of the medical room, and out into a massive hallway, she blinked amazed.
"Holyshit" she laughed awestruck, she smiled. Finally, I'm fucking free
Cass looked left then right and decided to go down the right, so she limped leaning on the wall for support.
"Where did she go?" Cass heard from where she came from.
Her eyes widened and she tried to limp faster and faster, until she was running as she heard footsteps coming closer. She quickly looked behind her to check for people not realising the two in front of her before slamming into them, and falling into her ass.
Panting she winced in pain and clutched her foot
"Oh I'm so so sorry! I-" cass looked up at her assailants, only to see Tom and Albus "-Abi!?"
"Hi" Cass panted giving them a weak smile "come here often?"
