"Yamamoto?"
"Here!"
"Yaku?"
"Here captain."
"Inuo...umm, Kenma?"
"Here... unfortunately."
"Lev?"
No response.
Kuroo looked up from setting up the net. "Lev's not here still? He's missed like 3 practices!" Kuroo questioned the other players in the room.
"Maybe he still doesn't feel comfortable coming back here yet. Kuroo you have to understand this isn't something that's easy to get over-"
"I'm here."
Yaku was cut off by the tall silver haired boy entering the gym. Kuroo raised up to speak but Lev held up his hand.
"Please, let me talk."
Kuroo backed down and listened to what the boy had to say.
"I'm incredibly sorry for the incident that happened last Friday. I know I can't turn back time and change anything but I know I made a mistake. Due to this mistake, I will no longer be playing volleyball with you guys. I'm leaving the team."
"What?!" Yaku exclaimed. "You can't just leave! The team still needs you!" 'I still need you," he thought, but chose to keep this comment to himself.
"Yeah, and we forgive you Lev. We know you didn't mean it. Let's just try and move past this together as a team." Kuroo added.
"I can't. I've made up my mind. It wouldn't be right for me to continue playing when I took Inuoka's chance to play away. I was being selfish. And I need to pay the price. I've really enjoyed the short amount of time I've spent playing with you guys. Y'all are really an amazing team. I'm glad I got to be a part of that."
And with that, Lev turned around and headed out of the heavy gym doors, ignoring the pleas of the rest of his team. It was hard to ignore them. Hard not to turn back to them. Especially Yaku. But he knew this was what he needed to do. He couldn't play with them anymore. Not when he knew he didn't deserve it.
a/n: okay super short chapter, I know. I just had to get the whole "Lev leaving the team" part done so I could move on to the next ship and eventually come back to Lev and Yaku. Karasuno will probably be next. Love you guys! Stay trippy!💚
