'What the hell is going on?' Kenma thought to himself as he rushed to the classroom for supplies. 'Why is everyone getting hurt so severely? Fuck is this? Final Destination?' He tried to make himself feel better by joking a little, but was truly worried deep down.
As he entered the classroom, Kenma was confident everyone was still asleep. But as he walked over to Akaashi's bag, a warm hand grabbed his ankle.
"Calico? Why are you up?" Akaashi asked, groggy and still half sleep.
"N-no reason! I just had to go to the bathroom! You can go back to sleep now Akaashi. I'm here," Kenma responded as he tried his best to reassure the other setter. But the blue eyed boy knew Kenma all too well.
Akaashi rubbed his eyes and sat up to truly look at Kenma's face. Then he looked around the room. He didn't see any silver hair. He raised up all the way now.
"Kenma, where's Suga? A-and Semi?"
Kenma could see the worry building up Akaashi's face. All Kenma could do was hang his head.
"Akaashi, I need your bag..."
When Kenma returned to the bathroom with a stressed Akaashi following close behind him, they both stopped when they got to the stall door.
Semi was still cradling Suga, and somehow had managed to stop the bleeding with some sort of cloth.
"We're here Semi. It's gonna be okay. Let me take him," Kenma reassured him as Semi reluctantly transferred Suga's body to Kenma, who started working immediately.
As he finished bandaging Suga's arm, he realized something.
"We can't take him to the hospital, you guys know that right?" he asked, barely looking over his shoulder at the two boys behind him. They both nodded in agreement and let Kenma continue.
"We don't want to cause anymore panic. With this amount of blood loss, his body shouldn't go into hemorrhagic shock. This is about the equivalent of donating blood twice, so he should be fine. But he needs sugar..." Kenma thought for a minute, trying to figure out where they could get snacks. Only one person popped into Kenma's head, and he let out a long sigh at the realization.
Kuroo.
"Akaashi, can you please watch Suga for just a moment. I have to go get him some food."
Akaashi only nodded in response, for he knew exactly where Kenma was going. They both hated that he had to ask Kuroo, but it was the only way.
As Kenma walked towards the main part of the gym, he realized just how hungry he truly was. He started to wonder if Kuroo carried enough snacks for him and Suga to get some. But he quickly scolded himself.
'What the hell brain? You never want to eat. WE never want to eat, but now you're apparently hungry when Suga needs the food more? Selfish bitch. This is exactly why I don't eat anymore.' Kenma scowled to himself as he reluctantly entered the gym.
He briefly scanned the gym, and immediately found what he was looking for. A boy with two pillows pressed on either side of his head. Kenma walked over to Kuroo and stared at the sleeping giant below him. He looked so restless, and Kenma felt bad for having to wake him up, but he had to. Kenma knew better than to startle Kuroo awake, so he squatted down next to him and gently rubbed circles on Kuroo's back.
Kuroo hummed at the feeling of human contact and removed one of his pillows. After realizing it was Kenma, he rose up a little too quickly, sending him into a dizzy spiral for a second. Kenma knew Kuroo often got dizzy, so he simply pulled him close and let Kuroo rest his head on his chest.
"Is everything okay kitten?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't it be?"
Kuroo looked up into Kenma's eyes.
"What do you need Kitten?"
Kenma was startled at the question, not knowing whether to answer with the truth or a lie. He decided to tell Kuroo the truth. He deserved that much.
"I need some snacks. Something sweet like cookies and a juice, like you gave me last time."
Kuroo rubbed Kenma's back.
"Who needs it, babe?"
"Suga."
"Ah, okay. You can take the snacks. Second pocket at the bottom."
Kenma perked up at the easy transaction. He knew Kuroo had asked the bare minimum of questions as to not worry himself and give himself a migraine. Kuroo had been suffering from migraines for a while, and he of course had recently experienced one of his worst ones after Bokuto was taken to the hospital. Kenma got the snacks and began to take his leave, when Kuroo spoke up.
"Hey Kitten, take this," he said as he tossed an extra package of cookies to the setter. "For you. I could hear your stomach rumbling. Text me if you need me babe."
Kenma couldn't help but smile as he mouthed the words thank you and turned to head back to the bathroom. On the surface, Kenma hates when Kuroo, Akaashi, and Bokuto would worry about him. He hated worrying people. But deep down, he loved the thought of someone loving him enough to care about his health, both mental and physical. That is why he loved all three of them, even if he didn't show it.
