When Suga awoke, he was greeted with a dark room and two sets of eyes. One pair blue and the other yellow.
"What the...holy shit are you guys angels?" Suga said as he stared into the two pairs of eyes. He couldn't make out any faces since it was still dark and he was still loopy from the loss of blood.
The eyes shared a glance, and he heard a giggle. Suddenly, the person with blue eyes spoke.
"Suga...welcome back," Akaashi laughed, as he got up and headed out of the room to get Semi.
"Akaashi?" Suga immediately recognized the gentle voice. "Then you must be..." Suga stared into the yellow cat like eyes and smiled. He knew them anywhere.
"Kenma."
He still couldn't really make out Kenma's face, but he could tell from the look in his eyes that Kenma was smiling.
"Suga...don't scare us like that again," Kenma said nonchalantly as he picked up the snacks off the table. "Here, eat up. Get your blood sugar back up and you should be fine. I'll give you some pain killers later after you get something in your system."
"Painkillers? Why do I need painkillers?" Suga asked, obviously confused.
"You seriously don't remember," Kenma sighed as he laid a finger across Suga's arm and applied pressure.
Suga flinched as a wave of pain shot through his arm. He remembered.
As soon as he was about to speak, Akaashi entered the room with a puffy eyed Semi close behind.
"Semi I-" Suga began to explain but Semi cut him off.
"Don't Suga. I don't wanna hear you say you're sorry. But..." Semi looked at the other two setters and they all nodded in agreement.
"We're sorry Suga."
Suga was caught off guard by the apology. "Sorry? Sorry for what?"
"We should've recognized that you weren't doing okay," Akaashi said as he placed his hand on Suga's shoulder.
"We'll do better. We'll get better. All of us. Together." Kenma started twiddling with his thumbs in embarrassment after speaking.
"We're here for you Suga. I'm here for you," Semi said, stepping closer and embracing Suga in a tight hug.
"Thank you for waking up one more time Suga. Thank you."
