We're not in Hawkins anymore...

Chapter Three- Part Four- The Survivor

  Mike left the party and went into the kitchen, hoping for a moment of peace in their messed up world. "Mike?" He turned around to see El, wearing one of his shirts and a pair of grey shorts. "What are you doing?" 

  "Uh-uh. Just-um, clearing my head, that's all," Mike rubbed the back of his neck. El cleared her throat, and took several steps towards his direction, before placing her lips on his. Mike wrapped El in his arms while she placed her arms over his neck. At that moment, everything was perfect, until it wasn't. 

  "AH! My eyes!" Lucas screamed as he covered his eyes, which caused Dustin to follow his lead. "God guys, get a room!" Nick wailed as she squished through the two boys and went to the cupboard, looking for something to eat. Will and Max laughed from the other room as Nick, Dustin, and Lucas left the room, leaving Mike and El alone in the kitchen, where they awkwardly talked while the others started to set up D&D. 

  "I want Nick to train me. So I can get my powers back." El said suddenly while looking down at the ground. 

  "I think that's a great idea!" Mike smiled. "It would be amazing if you got them back, maybe even get a level up like Nick had!" Mike cheered. El glanced at him with confusion."Level up?" 

  "Yeah. Like you might look differently or might have better powers?" Mike grabbed her hands and put them close to his chest. 

  "Look different? Am I not pretty?" El  questioned, her eyes glazed with tears and a saddened expression. "No, no, no. You're- you're-" 

  "Hey El? Max wanted to you," Nick muttered as she leaned against the doorway. El nodded solemnly and wiped her eyes before turning away and walking out the of kitchen, leaving Mike and Nickalos alone. 

  "I don't mean to pry or anything, but you're really bad at talking to people." Nick laughed slightly as she walked up to Mike. "I- I don't know how to talk to her! Not as much as I was before the whole Mind Flayer returning thing," 

  "You mean when I got here?" Nick asked. 

  "No. Last year, I haven't been able to talk to her, she just. I don't know. She's just different, and when you came here, she seemed to be happy. Happy in a way I've never seen before. And I don't know how to make her happy like you and Will have," Mike explained, a weight lifted off his shoulders. 

  "Well, we didn't make her happy, you did. You're the reason why she's so open, why she's so willing to make friends. And yeah, sometimes you might not be the best example for her, or be the thing that makes her happy at the moment, but that doesn't mean she doesn't love you." She paused as she put a hand on his shoulder. "You were the first person to call her pretty, to call her beautiful. To be her friend. She needs you. And she needs your support."

  "I need her." Mike mumbled. "And I want you to train her. I want her to have her powers again." Nick nodded slightly. "Well, I can't control her, or bring back her powers right away, but I will try to help her, to train her. But only under one condition." 

  "What condition?" Mike asked. "I'll do anything to help her, to bring back her power, to protect her. I'll-" 

  "Okay, okay, I get it. I don't need a sob story," Nick laughed sightly. "Can you keep a secret?"

Alright, last part of the third chapter!!!  I was really excited about writing this chapter and I want to dedicate a couple of the ideas to another story called 'We're not kids anymore' and I REALLY recommend it!!!!!

Anyway, I'm sorry to all you Mileven shippers there that I haven't been adding a lot of Mileven moments because I really loved them too, I've just been trying to get Will and Nick moments in the story for the most part. And don't worry, you'll learn the secret in the next couple of parts. 

I also want to say sorry for any grammar or editing mistakes and I will be doing ALOT of editing as I begin to finish the story!!! Thank you all once again for reading this fanfiction and be praying that filming for season 4 starts soon because I think we ALL need some more stranger things in our lives!!!!
