Cassidy Thompson hopped out of the car, pulling her rain coat hood over her head while she ran over towards the entrance of the Starcourt Mall. Her stilettoes clicked as she slide through the doors, holding the disable camera closely to her chest. She zipped across the floors of the old building, until she came up on the ruins of a monster, one she had been studying on for months.

She remembered things, weird  things have happened over the past couple of years. Mystery deaths, strange events like Will's return and the Russian girl who was roaming around for a while. And she also began to develop a liking for Will Byers as well; she had seen him a couple of days before, and he looked good, like really good... Her mind drifted off to the figure around her, and began to take photos on the camera, while pulling a notepad and a pen from her purse, and began to take notes.

Suddenly, put of nowhere, a low hum shook the building, and the lights flickered on and off,  and something was coming at her from in the distance. A reptile-man like monster appeared from the stands in the back of the mall. The monster roared, causing Cassidy to jump back and scream. She thought about all the times she saw Will run out of the classrooms and went home sick, the times that he had tried to talk to her and she shunned him. Guilt swelled up inside her as she remembered rejected him every single time he looked her direction.

She remembered when he asked her to dance at the Snow Ball dance in Middle School, and the way he looked at her with care and love... The monster came closer as she backed into the wall, hoping that somehow, in some way, someone would save her. And at the moment when the monster growled in her face, the second she thought it was over, someone had saved her.

The monster flew back, and crashed into the wall on the other side of the mall. A teenage girl with brown hair and hazel eyes walked up at the monster, as well as a girl who she thought she recognized from the outlets who was with Will. She raised her hair forward, and soon enough, fire began to flame from her hand and the monster began to run away. Her eyes set on the group of weirdos from Middle School, as well as Will. Her hearted stopped as he ran over to her and lifting her on her feet. "Cassidy, are you okay?" he asked as he placed his hand on her shoulder, his eyes sinking into hers. "Yeah. I'm- I-m okay,"

The monster was gone, and at the moment, Cassidy couldn't believe her eyes. The one girl from the outlets just had fire come from her hands, and the other girl used some sort of power to get the monster away from her. Will smiled and turned away, and Cassidy's heart sank as Will looked at the girl from the outlets, and grabbed her wrist and kissed her palm softly, whispering unhearable nothingness to her while she laughed and wrapped her arms around him. 'They aren't together. They're just friends.'

"What are you doing here?" Mike Wheeler asked as he pointed at Cassidy. "I- I was just looking at the, uh." She lost her words as she watched Will and the girl talking, a loving look was glazed in his eyes as he laughed at some sort of comment or joke she said and he placed her arm around her shoulders.

"What were you doing here?" Mike asked again, a little more angry then before. That was something she hated about him, she crossed her arms. "Why should I tell you?" She sassed. The girl rolled her eyes, leaning into Will as he casted a awkward look towards her, making her heart throb skightly.

"Look, I know you think you're important or whatever, but we're just wanting to help you," Max said as she stared at Cassidy.

"Protect me from what? You weirdos?" She smiled slightly with the comeback. "Look, no ones cares about what you thnk or anything, princess, but you can't just sneak into an abandoned mall and get attacked by that thing." The girl said, her arms crossed as she looked Cassidy up and down imtimably, causing Cassidy to gulp. "But Eleven and I saved you from that piece of living crap so I expect a 'thank you' of some sort before you start to sass and call people names."

"Then thank you for saving me," Cassidy said. "And you are?"

"NIckalos. Nick Brendon." She said as she circled her arms around Will's middle and closed her eyes. "But explain to me. What the hell was that thing?"

"The demogorgon." Lucas said confidently. "And how am I supposed to know what that is?" Cassidy said.

"It is a kidnapping demonic monster that will eat you alive. Figuretive and literally." Dustin explained.

"No cares about you Toothless. So just shut up!" She teased before looking at Will, who only shook his head. "Well, we're gonna go, so" Nick said as the party turned around and began to walk away. Nick and Will followed, only for Will to stop in his tracks, with Nick.

"We're just going to leave her here with all of that information?" Will asked. Nick stopped and looked at Will, an angry glare painted across her face. "Oh, so we should bring her with us?" Nick said sarcasly.

"What's wrong?" Will asked as he tried to catch her gaze. Nick looked down. "Max told me you liked her. That you guys danced together in Middle School too." Nick muttered as she hugged herself. "I- I know I shoudn't be insersure or anything, I just-" Will lifted her chin to have her look at him. "I love you. That was a one time thing. I'm yours okay?" Nick nodded as they followed everyone else, and left Cassidy there, alone and heartbroken.

Later that night, Nick couldn't sleep. One from the fact that Mike and El were cuddling and Mike was snoring extremely loud, Two, her nightmares keep coming back on her, and three, she was uncomfortable on the floor. Nick stood up, and collected her pillow and blankets and walked back into Will's room again, only for him to be sitting at his desk, drawing something on a piece of paper. "Hey," Nick said as she placed her stuff on Will's bed and she hugged herself.

"Hey," Will hopped out of his chair and circled his arms around her waist and kissed her forehead. "You tired?" Nick rested her head on his chest and nodded. "You still shaken up about that whole thing with Cassidy?" Will asked and Nick looked up and nodded.

"I know I shouldn't be upset about anything but I-" Will cut her off with a kiss. She melted into the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck and she closed her eyes. They parted and Will pulled Nick behind him and pulled the blankets over them and he cuddled her in his arms. "I love you." He said as he pulled her close and kissed her forehead. She smiled softly. "I love you too," She mumbled before she rested in his arms and slowly fell asleep, and Will rubbed her back and until he fell into a dreamless sleep with his girlfriend peacefully resting in his arms.
