It was around 1 a.m, Neds plan was to sneak into the Osborn's apartment building late at night when they'd be sleeping, to see if we could find more proof. Personally, I thought it was really stupid but I didn't have a better idea. Peter knocked on my window when he was ready, so we could head down together. He was wearing his suit, which confused me a bit.
"Do you need to wear that? What if it draws attention to us?"
"Well, I don't exactly need to wear it. But it gives me confidence." Peter explained with a shy smile. I looked down the see him holding the E.D.I.T.H glasses.
"Those were Tony's?" I asked, while I walked onto the fire escape where Peter was standing.
"Yeah, sometimes when i'm in situations like these I like to have them. They're lucky in a way,"
Peter chucked, as he gathered his thoughts.
"I can imagine him telling me that I need to 'man up and face the problems'"
I smiled, and nudged his shoulder.
"He would be proud of you, you know."
"I hope so, everything was just easier when he was here."
I looked down in sadness with his words. Ned came running up the stairs of the fire escape, making loud noises so we had to shush him quickly.
"Right, sorry it's 1am. But are you guys ready? We can't be there all night."
Peter and I nodded, and made our way down the stairs, heading to the dark streets. New York was sketchy to say the least at night, but having Peter there with me made me less nervous. Not that I couldn't defend myself without him that is.
We reached their apartment building, and looked at eachother.
"Should we really do this?" Peter questioned Ned.
"I mean, as long as we're quiet and leave everything as we've found it I don't think there'll be a problem. Just be quiet."
"Are you really telling us to be quiet?" I said in frustration as Peter dug out the key from his backpack that Harry gave him a few months ago, when the Osborns went away and paid Peter to water their plants.
As we walked inside, I already got an eery vibe. I had never been at the place at night, and every corner just seemed more weird and mysterious. Regarding the truth of what may be hiding in there.
"Ok Ned, you take the west wing of the house, and Mj and I will take the east wing."
"Why do I need to go alone? And you guys have eachother?"
"Because this was your idea."
Ned didn't bother arguing with that, and we parted ways.
Peter and I walked around, trying to find anything that could help the case. We couldn't find anything, but we kept trying.
We got to the living room, and Peter looked at me with fear in his eyes and his hands twitching a bit.
"What?" I whispered, looking around.
"There's someone close."
"What? I cant hear anyone."
"What if it's Norman?"
We went around another corner, and saw Harry passed out on the couch. I looked at Peter and he just smiled, relieved.
"Ok we're good, it was just Harry. Just Harry." He breathed out quietly. I grabbed his arm to keep going.
We left the living room, knowing there would be nothing just laying in the open.
We then saw a room, that had a label on the door.
"Private, do not enter"
Peter and I looked at eachother, then carefully opened the door and walked inside.
"Why would he put 'do not enter' inside his house? Wouldn't Harry suspect something or go inside?" I muttered as I rummaged around.
"Well they do have maids and other stuff, so maybe it's just to stop them from going in here when they clean or something.Maybe there's nothing in here at all."
"No, we aren't going to just leave without looking. This is the perfect setup, we'd be dumb to ignore it." I said more loudly with frustration.
We spent another 5 minutes or so, just looking all over the place trying to find a single morsel of evidence. So far, we had found nothing.
"Mj, I really think there's nothing in here. We should move on."
I sighed, starting to agree with him, I decided to look around one last time.
When I looked up, I saw a lever I hadn't noticed before on the high ceiling.
"Peter, see that?" I said pointing to it.
"Yeah, what is it?"
"No idea, can you climb to it?"

Peter started climbing up the wall, as i watched telling him where to go.
"This wall is hard to stick to." He said as he was halfway there.
"That's the weirdest thing I think i've ever heard anyone say,"
I looked at the door
"Stay here, well i guess you really have nowhere else to go at the moment, but I'm gonna see if Ned is nearby."
Peter just nodded in response, and I left the room, looking around to try and spot anyone.
As i rounded a corner, I froze as I heard a voice behind me.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
