Chapter 44 Blind

(Camila's POV)

It all made perfect sense now

"What, what's the matter?" Oran asked quickly

"Holly" I said

"Yeah, what about her" he asked me

"I knew her, she was with me. How could I be so stupid?" I asked

"What?" He asked me

"Camila, you're not making any sense here" Ky told me

"I was with, when I got kidnapped" I told them

"When you got kidnapped?" Julia asked

"Yes, Oran, do you remember when I passed out and that doctor lady helped those men kidnap me?" I asked

"Yeah" he said, still confused

"In the truck, there was a young girl, her name was Holly" I told them all

I took a seat, shaking my head

"God, how could I be so blind?" I asked

"Don't beat yourself up about this Cam" Luca said

"No, you don't understand. I knew there was something off about her, but I couldn't place what it was" I said

"What do you mean" Joey asked, looking down at me

"Her eyes, just for a moment, I could have sworn that they had gone red. But I dismissed it because I was tired and she was a child-" my sentence died off

I shook my head, running my fingers through my hair

"Which is why she used that body of a child. She knew I could never second guess a scared little girl. But it was her, she tricked me" I said louder

"What else did she say?" Bash asked me

"Nothing, she just went on about how scared she was and how much she wanted to go home" I said

"Home?" Ky asked me

"Yeah, why?" I looked up at him

"Hazel was an orphan, she never knew her parents" Ky told me

"So, she was just playing along with her story" Julia said

"No, no, Ky might be on to something" I told her

"Hazel never really had a home. She was always being bounced around from house to house" Ky said, sadness lacing his words

"That makes sense. Think about it. Camila, you lost your brother and parents, but you weren't abandond, you had Oran and suddenly a pack of alphas doing your every bidding. They were being controlled, but they still belonged to you. Hazel never had any of that" Luca replied, looking at us

"She's not looking for power and she's not doing this to please whoever 'him' is" Ky said

"She's jealous of me. She's looking for a family. She's looking for a home" I said

"So what? She's trying to steal your mates?" Joey asked

"No, she's not trying to steal anything, she's trying to be me" I sighed

"That doesn't make sense" Joey told me

"Yes it does. Ky just said that she never actually had a real family. She never had parents to care for her or place to call her home. I had all of that even after losing three of the most important people in my life. I had people to love and support me. She just wants to have some like a happy place. Somewhere where she can just be herself and not have to worry about anything. she wants everything that I have" I told him

Joey, stared at me, shaking his head

"This is so messed up " he said

"Guys, I have an idea" I told them

They all waited patiently for me to continue

"Go on" Bash said

"What a feeling I'm not gonna like this?" Oran asked

"Because it's stupid" I told them

Or in the ground and scratched his new beard

"We're going to need some help aren't we?" Julia asked

"Not just anyone's help, we're going to need a witch" I told them and got up
