Stiles' Jeep flies into the lot, pulling in next to Lydia's car, Cal jumps out shuts the doors, followed seconds later by his brother. "Lydia? Lydia!" They call her. Past the fence, they find her hugging herself from the cold and shock. "I'm okay. That. That over there. Not okay." Lydia tells them pointing over to the lifeguard chair. Stiles spots a dark figure perched in the lifeguard chair and reaches for his phone. "I'm calling my Dad." he tells them. "I already called 9-1-1." Lydia responds. "You called the police before you called me?" Stiles asks. "I'm supposed to call you first when I find a dead body?" Lydia asks confused. "YES." Stiles exclaims. Cal glares at him and hugs Lydia as Stiles lifts his phone to find it vibrating with an incoming call from Scott. "Are you sure?" Scott asks through the phone. "Throat, ripped out. Blood everywhere." Stiles says as he looks over to the young man's body in the lifeguard chair. "It's like The frickin' Shining over here. If two little girls walked out and asked me to come play with them forever and ever I seriously would not be surprised." Stiles tells him. "Can you look a little closer? Make sure it was them." Scott asks. "Make sure? Who else is ripping out throats around here?" Stiles asks. "Me in a minute." Cal says to Lydia while watching his brother. Lydia smiles and puts an arm round the boy. "Please, just look." Scott pleads. Stiles steps closer to the body to check as Lydia turns to Cal "Any guys caught your eye?" she asks. "Not sure. I mean I am 14 everyone at school is either older or straight. Besides no one except you knows I'm gay." Cal points out. "You will find someone bub." she says as she kisses his cheek and heads to her car, Cal following.
Lydia enters her room, holding Cal's hand with Stiles following behind them. "You didn't have to follow me home." Lydia tells Stiles sitting on her bed pulling Cal down with her. "I wanted to make sure you got in okay." Stiles tells her. "I had a police escort." Lydia points out. "Hey, I know the inner workings of that force and they're not nearly as reliable as people think." Stiles responds. "That's reassuring." Cal mutters. "You also didn't have to follow me into my room." Lydia says looking at Stiles. "That is just--I mean--I have no answer for that. I'll leave." Stiles says turning to go. "You really want to go without asking me the question you're dying to ask me?" Lydia asks him. "What? I don't have a question. No questions here." Stiles tells her. "I can see it on your face." Lydia responds. "Maybe my face just gives off a naturally interrogatory expression." Stiles says. "Well, you're interrogatory expression is getting on my nerves. So the answer is I have no clue how I ended up finding that body. I didn't even realize where I was until I was out of the car." Lydia tells him. "So you literally just showed up there?" Stiles asks. "Yes, literally." Lydia says. "But the last time something like this happened--" Stiles starts. "I know. Derek's uncle." Lydia cuts off. "Peter." Stiles nods. Cal looks at Lydia and then Stiles. Lydia looks at Stiles "Cal's staying the night I have some clothes he can borrow." Cal smiles. "Alright. I'll see you tomorrow Cal." Stiles says with a look.
Cal sighs and looks down at his hands "He won't judge." Lydia tells him. "I know I'm just... I don't know." Cal tells her fiddling with his fingers. There's a knock on Lydia's bedroom door. "Yeah?" Lydia asks. A lady with brown hair looks in "I thought I heard voices. Who's this?" she asks. "Mum this is Cal. Cal this is my mum." Lydia introduces. Cal stands up and puts out his hand "Nice to meet you Ms Martin." he smiles. "You too Cal. How do you guys know each other?" Lydia's mum asks. "Cal is Stiles' little brother and in my classes. He skipped a few years of school. He is also one of my new best friends." Lydia tells her mother who smiles. "Well I was just wondering whether you needed anything?" Ms Martin asks. "Uh Cal is going to stay the night. I still feel a bit shaken. Could you get some of Dad's clothes he left here?" Lydia asks. "Of Course sweet heart." Ms Martin says walking out. Cal smiles and looks at Lydia "She seems nice." he says. "Yeah. What about your mum?" Lydia asks tentatively. "I don't know. I never met her. I was put up for adoption. The only reason I found dad and Stiles is because my Foster mum found them for me." Cal explains with a shrug. Lydia smiles softly "Was Claudia your mother?" she asks. Cal shakes his head "No dad got drunk one night with my mum and 9 months later I came along." he explains. Ms Martin walks in "Here you go Cal. I found some clothes for you to wear tomorrow aswell." she tells him. "Thank you Ms Martin." Cal smiles taking the clothes off her. Cal sits on Lydia's bed with her when a little dog comes running into the room. "Prada?" Cal asks. Lydia smiles and nods, Cal strokes Prada and picks her up. "You are a cutie aren't you." Cal says stroking Prada behind the ears. Lydia watches the young boy. "You know what? I sometimes forget that your still a kid because of how mature you are. But watching you now showed me that you still need time to act like a kid." Lydia tells him. Cal smiles and looks down "I've never really able to be myself around anyone other than Zac and Lou. I just feel more comfortable around you than I do with others." Lydia hugs the boy smiling "I'm always here bub." she tells him.
