Alex-

I smirked as I walked her approach me. Her hips were swaying and her hair flowing. I held out my hand for her to take, which she willingly did. I then led her up the stairs, the smirk never leaving my lips.

This was only one more step closer to disconnecting myself from everyone.

Sky-

I sat down at the lunch table, with my water in hand. It was a quiet morning and I had yet to speak a word, I just wasn't in the mood for socializing. I just wanted to go out; to get in trouble and drink everything in sight. That had always been the best way of forgetting all of my troubles.

Alexander didn't make an appearance but I was trying to force him out of my thoughts. Admittedly, I wasn't doing a very great job at it.

I glanced up at Scott, who had an arm around Brett and internally smiled; they were so cute. Scott was already looking straight at me though. I quickly looked back down, not wanting to keep up the awkward staring.

I took a sip and placed my water back down, feeling eyes on me. The bell rang after a bit and I jumped up, nearly falling over due to the sudden motion. I felt a hand on my back to steady me, without even looking I could tell it was Xavier. He always had the most gentle movements

"If you want to talk, I'm always here." He whispered lightly before leaving me standing there slightly confused.

Walking to my next class, I varied my options. I could ignore Alexander and pursue Xavier who seemed to actually have an interest or just stay in my comfort zone and avoid people. I'll go with choice two, less effort.

As I sat down, I pulled out my notebook and my favorite pen. It was purely my favorite pen because it was one that I had actually used more than half of the ink in it. I tried to pay attention to what the teacher was saying but that effort seemed to be thrown out the window.

I walked through the door and threw off my shoes. I left them in the middle of the hallway, too lazy to even pick them up. I tightened my grip on my bag and made my way up to my room. Uncle Paul wasn't home so I wasn't concerned with bumping into him. I flung myself onto my bed and pulled out my folders.

The pink paper that was sticking out made my head hurt. It was the paper that stated when I had to be at tutoring sessions. I knew that I could just do the work instead of slacking off and disregard it but something was telling me to keep the appointments.

Bang!

I jumped at the noise, nearly flinging myself off of my bed. I rushed out to find the source, praying it wasn't a burglar or anything of that sort.

"Ewe, who are you?" A snotty voice startled me. I spun around to face a snooty looking girl. She gave me a judgmental once over while I just awkwardly stood. There was a random chick in my house and I didn't even have the nerve to ask her to leave.

"Uh- my house. This is my house." I whispered, looking away slightly. I simply didn't have the energy to deal with things like that.

"No. This is Alex's house." She waved her around in a dramatic manner, making me question her stability.

"Alex? As in Alexander Baker?"

"I guess. Look, I'm not sure of his name but you should get your ass out of his house." Okay, now that bitch was starting to make me mad. I glared at her.

"This is my house and if anything it should be you getting your snooty ass out before you contaminate the area." I practically growled at her. I was like a switch when it came to my anger and everyone knew better than to play with that.

"Um-Kassidy?" I heard Alexander's voice call out from behind me. I rolled my eyes.

"What is she doing in your house baby?" The bitch, Kassidy, gave me a disgusted look.

"Alexander, can you kindly get Kassidy out of my house while I contact Paul about rearranging some living situations?" My tone was sharp and not to be argued. I walked down the hallway to where I knew there was a phone always kept. I heard talking behind me but I didn't turn; it was too irrelevant for me.

It was simple for me to remember the right number, Uncle Paul had made me memorize it in case of emergencies. I dialed and pressed the cordless up to my ear before having it yanked out of my grasp and tossed away.

A body pressed against mine and warmth surged throughout my own. I resisted the urge to shiver.

"That's not very nice." His warm breath blew against my neck and I couldn't resist leaning into him.

"Let me make the call." I said, annoyed yet conflicted.

"No can do. You can't just call all of your problems away." Alexander brushed some of my hair off of my shoulder so it fell against my back instead.

"And why not?"

"Because that's not how life works. You can't just push a button and have everyone else solve your problems. That's not the way to grow up Princess. But of course I'm sure you don't know a damn thing about living in the real world."

I was suddenly overwhelmed with anger so I did what I thought was best. I kneed him.
