Vienna, Austria

Jai couldn't take his eyes off his wife.

Srishti sat beside him in the backseat. Her fingers cold but tucked securely in his grip. Her eyes sparkled with childlike wonder as she stared out of the car window. Her nose almost pressed to the glass. Mountains blurred in the distance. Her eyes sparkled in wonder.

Jai smiled.

It had taken a whole operation for his family to convince her to come for the honeymoon. She kept insisting she'd be a distraction, that he had work, responsibilities...but eventually, after protests and pleading, she agreed. Mostly because he asked. And because their entire family had lovingly pushed her out the door.

Now, watching her beam, Jai felt that the trip was already worth it.

He gave her hand a gentle squeeze. She looked down, startled, and smiled.

He leaned back in his seat. Turning his head slightly toward the front.

"How long, Ganesh?"he asked.

"We're almost there, sir"Ganesh replied, casually scrolling through his phone.

Jai glanced at Srishti again. She was still smiling, staring outside. A soft chuckle escaped his lips.

The car rolled into a quiet cobbled lane lined with elegant buildings. Srishti's eyes widened as they pulled up to a small white apartment with vintage balconies.

She blinked.

"This... this is where we're staying?"

"Hmm. Come out, madam"Jai smiled, stepping out and walking to her side of the car.

She stepped out slowly, taking in the view.

"I thought we'd stay in a hotel" she whispered. He leaned in with a smirk. His voice a soft tease.

"Don't you think we need a little privacy, Bangaram? No one to knock. No one to interrupt"

She turned crimson from head to toe. He chuckled at the sight.

Ganesh handed her the key.

"Here, madam. You can go in. Hope you like it"

Srishti smiled and took it with a small nod. She stepped in and gently opened the door.

Inside, the apartment felt like a snow-kissed fairytale. White interiors, wooden floors, soft yellow lighting. She walked in slowly, her eyes scanning everything like it might disappear if she blinked. Her fingers brushed the cold glass of the window overlooking a quiet street.

"Liked it?"Jai's voice breathed near her ear.

She jumped slightly and turned. His grin widened.

"It's beautiful"she said softly, eyes glowing.

"Don't you want to see our room?"

Before she could say anything. He grabbed her wrist and led her up the wooden staircase. He stopped at the farthest room, then pushed the door open.

She gasped.

The bedroom was warm and spacious. The bed wrapped in white linens and fairy lights strung above the headboard like stars caught just for them. Floor-length curtains framed the world outside.

She was still staring when he leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on her cheek. Her eyes widened. They always did when he kissed her. And he loved that.

Before she could say anything, they heard footsteps outside.

"Excuse me, sir"Ganesh's voice came from the hallway.
