The Beauxbatons students settled at a table, looking around as everyone gathered for dinner in the Hogwarts Great Hall. Today was the day the champions were to be chosen for the tournament. To say I was nervous would be an overstatement, but I was definitely cautious when it came to the whole thing. Thankfully, Mia hadn't entered her name in the cup, but Noah, Viktor, Eloise, and Fleur all had their names in the cup. I would really prefer it if my friends didn't get chosen. Dumbledore quickly silenced us once everyone was sitting. "Sit down, please. And now the moment you've all been waiting for, the selection of the champion!" He approached the goblet, and the flames started glowing blue and red. It suddenly spurted out a name.

"The Durmstrang champion is ... Viktor Krum!" My heart dropped at the sound of his name. I glanced over to Mia, to see her expression mirroring how I felt. Nonetheless, we clapped loudly for our friend. The Durmstrang students cheered loudly until another name came out of the cup.

"The champion from Beauxbatons... Fleur Delacour!" The school cheered, proud of our representative, but yet again, it was not the news I was hoping for. The cheering was followed by the cup shooting yet another name out.

"The Hogwarts champion... Cedric Diggory!" The Hogwarts students cheered loudest of all. The table full of students dressed in yellow ties practically screamed.

Dumbledore started his speech about how only one champion could win until the goblet released one more name, much to everyone's surprise. I held my breath. There was no way this was good.

"Harry Potter. Harry Potter?" Dumbledore seemed just as shocked as everyone else. Gasps were heard from around the hall. Mia and I shared a scared look and turned towards our cousin. He looked around frantically, eventually locking eyes with me. He sent me a terrified expression. All I could muster was a sad smile before I pointed with my head to the Great Hall's front, where all the other champions were gathering in another room. It took him a second, but he ultimately got my gesture and stood up. Slowly walking towards Dumbledore before disappearing into the other room. The now very anxious teachers quickly excused us from dinner. Mia and I stopped right outside the Great Hall to wait for Harry. Hermione noticed us and tried to pull Ron over with her. Ron grumbled something and pulled away from her.

"What's his problem?" I questioned, rolling my eyes.

"He's angry because he thinks Harry left him out." Hermione replied, moving to stand next to us. "I'm going to assume you both are waiting for Harry. Is it okay if I join you?"

"Yeah, we'll make it a party."

"We're also waiting for Viktor and our roommate Fleur." Mia added, nudging me with her elbow. I nodded along with her, agreeing.

We had to have been waiting at least twenty minutes before Viktor, Fleur, and the Hogwarts champion came out of the Great Hall.

"Viktor!" Mia and I yelled in unison.
