"WANT TO RUNAWAY WITH ME?"

song-inspired one shot, female reader
ROMEO & CINDERELLA by HATSUNE MIKU

YOUR EYES DARTED AT THE CLOCK and it finally reached midnight. You smiled when there was a faint knocking on the window — hopping off your bed, you strutted towards the balcony and opened the wine-colored curtains.

There you saw a tall, pale young man still in his uniform. The sight of him made you break out a smile when he slid the glass door open.

"You're here." you exclaimed as you threw yourself onto him, his arms wrapped around your hips instinctively as he lets out a chuckle. "Sorry for being late, Lord Diavolo made me do countless of chores," he stared at your eyes, "it was all worth it though."

You flicked his nose in which he scrunched in reply, "You're such a sweet talker." You turned away from him and sat on the bed — him following your lead. He took off his shoes, and lied down at the end of the mattress, his head resting onto your lap as he sighed in relief.

"You did fall in love with my words." He chuckled.

You could only hum as you traced his every feature with your finger. You leaned down to brush your lips against his, you could feel the smile forming on his mouth.

He stared at your orbs, taking in everything as if he saw beauty in it — which he did. He swore to you that everything about you was beyond perfect. Something that isn't expressible with words; And also claiming that you were his everything.

"What? Are you going to tell me that I'm your whole world again?" you laughed.

Barbatos shook his head, his eyes dripping in lovestruck.

"My dear, you're more than the hundreds of galaxies — you're existence itself."

Your heart dropped in a lovingly way, you peered at his lips again as if it tempted you to kiss him. He seemed to get the idea so he cupped your face with his gloved hands, pulling you closer. But before you could touch his, the door slammed open, revealing a shocked Lucifer holding a book.

"This is an outrage." Lucifer declared which made you wince. Barbatos reached out and squeezed your hand to calm you down, it did work — but the uneasy feeling still didn't completely vanish away.

Diavolo sighed, his eyes looking at you — maybe it rang of sadness, maybe it was disappointment — but you sure know that most of it were pity. For what though?

"You can't fall in love with a demon." Lucifer reasoned as he tried his best way to calm himself down, he caught a look of your hands and it made you shiver, trying to pull away but Barbatos kept his firm grip with you.

It amazed you at how he was shaken by the enraged Lucifer.

The ravenette sat down on a black leather couch as he massaged his temples, his eyes reached to yours, his atmosphere turned like an older-brother-type where he's trying to protect you from something.

"You do know the law, right?" he questioned, his voice was loud enough for it to echo in the whole room — or maybe it was just too quiet, that even you could hear a pin falling to the floor.
