PLEASE MAKE ME NOT LET GO

IT HAS BEEN A FEW YEARS since you stayed in Devildom. You finished the student-exchange program and Lucifer and the others said you were more than welcome to come and live with them again.
"Hello, my name is Celeste. It's nice to meet you." a girl with ginger locks and emerald eyes bowed and smiled at the others.
You were thrilled. You could finally have a fellow human friend besides Solomon.
But she turned out to be all the things you never thought she would be.
"The brothers love me." she boasted proudly while she looked at the vanity mirror. You, on the other hand, was busy in making a handmade present for Mammon since it would be his birthday soon. You ignored her statement and continued in rearranging the beads.
Celeste snapped a look at you; annoyed. She never liked it when you ignore her like that, mostly because she needed validation from other people.
She hummed and hopped towards you before sitting on the other side of the bed. You scrunched your nose, you didn't like her anywhere near your things. She wasn't the type of person to be trusted.
"I heard that Mammon's birthday is coming."
You glanced at her by the mention of a certain demon's name. The attention she received made her satisfied. She smirked.
"Are you going to give him a gift?" she asked, trying to be clueless.
You huffed, "What do you think, Sherlock?" Nonsense. A stupid girl like her could never reach Sherlock's level of intelligence.
You watched her shift in her seat as she promptly looked up at you with glittery eyes and a lousy plan to try and make you leave Devildom, just so she could harbor all the brothers' attention.
An attention seeker will always try every absolute option just to get the attention they wanted, no matter how reckless it would turn out in the end.
"Oh my, you do have a feisty attitude." she tittered.
You figured that replying to her words could only make her feel better about herself and worse for you. You zippered your mouth as you hid the bracelet in a dark blue velvet box. You placed it in your drawer and locked it with a key.
You stood up and gave her one last glare before walking away and leaving the room. Knowing that staying in the same place as she would only bring negativity towards you.
. . .
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMMON!" Everyone greeted. They all decided that today was the day that Mammon will have a "No bullying for 24 hours" card. Asmodeus made the card and said that was his gift. Lucifer said to not punish him.
The others proceed to give him their presents. Celeste was next and she pulled out a rather familiar box making you freeze in your place.
"Ya made this? I can't believe it, Celeste. Ya actually great." he smiled towards her.
Celeste made sure that you were watching as he pulled Mammon into a hug. The white-headed boy chuckled nervously as he pats her head. The action she made was the last straw, you couldn't stand and tell everyone that she was a fraud, but you didn't want to make Mammon's special day a disaster just so you could stand up for yourself.
Instead of saying anything, you decided to walk away. You could always tell them later anyway.
You knocked on Mammon's bedroom door, and he answered immediately. He looked down on you and flashed a huge grin towards you. "I didn't think you would come." he piped.
You giggled, "May I come in?"
He pulled the door open so you could walk in. There was a different look he had in his eyes. His ocean eyes have never been so calming; and whenever he looks at you, it's like all the waves came crashing down on the shore.
Only if you could see that.
You were too focused on Celeste that you never bothered to look in Mammon's way. Maybe because you were set that she would have her way, without knowing how the boy feels.
"So," you said, trying to break away from your thoughts, "how was your party? The others kept their word in not bullying you." you chuckled.
Mammon scratched the back of his head with a sheepish look.
"Why were ya not there?" he questioned.
You turned around, "Didn't feel that I was meant to be there." You shook your head and gripped the hem of your shirt. "You guys were already happy with Celeste."
You noticed his wrists empty, you looked up to his eyes; already feeling those waves pulling you in.
"Why aren't you wearing the bracelet?"
"It didn't feel right."You raised a brow, "How so?"
Mammon smiled and took the box that was resting on the table, he then placed it in your hands, "It's yours, right?" he asked. You stared at the box on your palm and bit your lip.
"How did you know?" you mumbled and opened the lid, the letters on the beads were the ones to spell his name. You thought it was a good gift, judging how Mammon really likes making things his.
The boy shrugged, "We all did. We know that Celeste was lying ever since she got here. We're demons, sensing things like that is easy as pie, ya know? Ya should give us more credit that thinking a human like her could fool us."
Your eyes darted to your shoes. The bubbling feeling tried to make you ignore the thoughts in your head. "I didn't know what to say nor how to say it. I was sure that you guys liked her."
"Oh, we did," Mammon nodded and crossed his arms, "she was nice, but we would never neglect the idea of her bullying ya. Ya know that we love you, right?" he flashed you a huge grin.
Your heart fluttered, "Yeah..." you trailed-off as you pulled out the bracelet from its case and slid it on Mammon's wrist. The boy peered at your curiously but you only gave him a smile.
"It's my gift for you, make sure to wear it every day, okay?" you chuckled.
Mammon nodded with a quirk in his lips, "I'll make it as my lucky charm then."
