Josh: Nessa and I just woke up and she got on her computer to find plane tickets, since we were leaving around a month.
"How about the 14th to the 28th? We could spend Christmas there, just you and me?" She said, wrapping her arms around me.
"I think that sounds awesome. Is there any til the 31st, so we can spend New Years there?" I ask.
"Um.... I see one were we could go on the 14th and get back on the 2nd. There isn't any round-trips that are that far apart." "Well, looks like that's what we should do."
She squealed. I could tell she was really excited.
"Hey, I'm going to go out with Mads and Avani and Dixie and Addison, oops, nevermind. Addison is sick and Bryce and her are going to just stay at home. I forgot she told me that." Nessa said.
"Ok. Why isn't Katue going?"
"Oh, Katie and Garrett are having a date night at their apartment." She says.
" Oh...I think I'll stay at home. I might even cook supper." I say.
"Ooh! He's sexy and can cook. What a man." She says kissing me. I kiss her back.
"I know, right?!"
"Ok, I'm going to get ready." She says. What I didn't tell her is that today is the day I'm asking her parents for permission to marry their daughter. I was nervous. I had met Mr. and Mrs. Barrett a couple times before, since Katie and Ness have been best friends for forever.
Once Nessa's gone: I dialed Mrs. Barrett's number into my phone.
"Hello, Josh?"
"Hi, Mrs. Barrett. Would you mind putting me on speaker with Mr. Barrett?
"Of course, sweetie."
Once we were on speaker I started talking.
"I'm sure you know I'm in love with your daughter."
"Yesss..."
"Well, I'm sure you know where this is going, but I would like permission to marry Nessa."
"Josh, we love you like a son, even if we have only met and talked a couple times before, but we'd love to give you our permission to marry Janesa. I know you'll treat her right."
We talk on the phone a little longer, making small talk. We finally get off the phone and I'm shocked. I'm going to marry the love of my life, Nessa. This can't be happening. I then text the boys with the news. They were all super happy for me. I then go out to buy a ring. This is the ring:

I really hope Nessa likes this ring. The proposal is what um most stressed about. I know I definitely want to do it in Cabo. Whoo! My palms are sweaty just thinking about this!
