Nessa:
So today I have my first ultrasound. We have decided to not find out the gender, but today is the day we will tell our parents, after the ultrasound.
We are getting in the car and we start driving to the hospital, around 40 minutes away.
We get to the hospital and we start to walk in. We sign in and all that fun stuff. We get called after 15 minutes and go back to a room, where a RN asks me all of the random questions about my health. The RN leaves and we're just sitting there until I say something: "I'm kinda nervous," u say with a little giggle.
"Hey, it'll be fine, Baby. You're gonna do great," Josh says, giving me reassurance. I smile at him and go change into the gown that the nurse gave me. When I come back from changing in the bathroom, the doctor, Dr. Hylan, is in the room. He takes me to anotgerbroom, where I'll get an ultrasound. He tells me to lay down on the bed, and I do. He asks me to lift up my shirt, so that my stomache is exposed. I lift my shirt and he puts the cold goop on my stomache and starts to rub it around.
"Well, I'm having some trouble finding the heartbeat," he says, and my heart drops. Josh looks away and I know he has tears in his eyes. I take his hand and he kisses mine. Dr. Hylan keeps looking for another minute. "Ope, there it is!" He says with a laugh. "Little thing was hiding from me!" He says and relief floods mine and Josh's eyes.
"Oh, wait that's not one heartbeat, that's two," he says, and Josh smiles at me.
"So we're having twins?!" I ask, excitedly.
"Yep, looks like that. Congratulations!" Dr. Hylan says to us.
The ultrasound is finished and we start walking out. We drive to where his parents are staying, because we asked them to come down for the weekend from Canada.
We get to the hotel and we tell them to both come sit. "Mom, Dad, we have something to tell you guys," Josh says. "So you Nessa had a doctor's appointment, well it was actually out first ultrasound and we found out Ness is having twins!" Josh says and his mom jumps up and hugs me. His dad hugs him and we get congratulated. (Let's sayteexact same thing happens with Nessa's parents, cuz I'm lazy)
We gi home and get ready for bed. Gosh, this was a crazy day.
