Roman shoved the colorful drawing into Logan's face, it was an intricate piece that had been flooded with color and passion. "That is an adequate piece of art." The excitement in Roman's eyes dimmed, "You should hang in here, in the living room." Logan bit back a smile as Roman's face light up, twice as bright as it had been originally. Roman excitedly summoned a gorgeous golden frame to compliment the colors in his artwork and began trying to find the absolute perfect place to hang it.

Janus took that moment as his cue to enter, he referenced something that flew over Roman 's head. The dazzling prince turned from where he was holding the picture to the wall and inquired what the snake-like figure had meant. The snake feigned surprise, "You didn't tell him, Lo?" Something in Roman's chest twisted at the nickname and word choice, surely Logan wouldn't hide anything from him, right? They were best friends after all.. Roman looked back and forth from Janus to Logan. Logan and Janus seemed to have an entirely silent conversation through facial expressions and gestures. Roman began growing more frustrated at being left in the dark, when did those two become so close?!

Janus glanced at Roman before turning back to Logan, "And by the looks of things you're not planning to tell him." Janus teased, "Gee! I didn't think you liked me that much, to tell me something you wouldn't tell your bestfriend!" Logan's face morphed into a glare as the snake continued, "Aww I'm so happy you trusted me! Anyways see ya later!" Janus started to leave before looking between Roman and Logan, once more.

The nerd growled, "Don't you dare." Before the cunning side took a step closer to Roman and smirked, "I guess he doesn't trust you anymore." Something in Roman snapped in that instant. Pressing past the other, Roman stood directly in front of Logan, full of confusion and rage as he demanded answers.

The snake smirked, he had lit the fire now all he had to do was slip away. The other two were to caught up in their own thoughts to notice the absence of the antagonist.

Roman ranted and rambled, saying everything that came to mind as Logan uncharacteristically held back answers. Roman threw his artwork across the room in his frustration, almost missing Logan's flinch as the glass surrounding the picture shattered. Roman's expression softened and he felt defeated, his best friend had found a better friend than him or maybe he'd even fallen for Janus. Roman gently placed a hand on Logan's shoulder, in apology, the gesture had become a comfort for the two but it felt awkward, in this instant. Roman couldn't find the words and was about to pull away, when Logan pressed his head into the prince's chest.

Roman stiffened, Logan had never initiated contact beyond playful nudges. Logan remained in this position, for a moment, unsure if he should pull away or not. Roman hesitantly wrapped his arms around his companion. They stayed there for a few minutes and the fanciful side realized that the light shaking from the other was from crying, without hearing any sounds from his best friend, Roman still figured it out. Logan felt the arms around him tighten as his body wracked with tears.

Any emotion Roman had been feeling was thrown to the side as he was overcome with worry. At this moment he had one purpose: to comfort the one he loved. "Shhhh it's okay, you're okay. I'm right here." Roman rubbed circled against the other's back, "Everything's going to be okay." That was all Logan needed to let go of everything he had been holding back. Every icky emotion that plagued him, rushed past the dam he held them behind. The gut-wrenching sobs the nerd released sent pain through ever fiber of Roman's being. Logan always seemed so put together but in this moment he just looked so small and broken. "It's okay, I'm right here." Logan's cries seemed to let up and his breathing evened out, ever so slightly "I won't let anything happen to you." Logan suddenly began crying harder. Roman panicked at the quick change of pace, "I promise, I won't let anything happen to you, Lo." Logan continued to cry harder and harder until exhaustion took control of his senses.
