"it seems as if i didn't need to worry much about y/n," oyakata smiled. his wife nodded.
"kibutsuji has some challengers. this year's new rookies are also very talented. i believe this in defeating kibusuji will be up to this era," oyakata's wife stated, "i believe they are strong enough to wield the power and bring peace between demons and humans."
"do you think giyu will be able to open up when he's with y/n," oyakata asked his wife sipping on the tea she brewed, "he's always been quite preserved and lonely."
tomioka let out a sudden sneeze putting on a confused face afterwards. y/n whipped her heads towards him asking if he had a cold. she placed her hand on the boy's forehead brushing his bangs away.
"you're fine," y/n muttered.
"i'm sure he would. y/n seems like a compatible partner for him," oyakata's wife told. oyakata nodded agreeing to his wife's words.

unfortunately i wasn't able to recover fully. the next morning tomioka's crow came swooping down ordering us for another mission next the the manor. tomioka didn't want me to go, but i insisted either way.
we arrived quickly at the town and patrolled the area. it was quite busy considering this place was similar to the town where we fought kahira, except it looked more modern.
(a/n: keep in mind this is a different place from where tanjiro met muzan)
"this place is so packed," i mumbled to myself. not wanting to lose tomioka, i held onto the arm on his haori, still pretty tired and weak from the fight with the demon last night. my vision would sometimes get blurry and my head was throbbing to my teeth.
"do you want to rest somewhere?" tomioka asked, "i can put you in an inn or something."
i shook my head, "i fine. i just need something to eat. i'm kinda hungry."
tomioka nodded walking besides me with me still having a grip on his haori. the onigiri he gave was already been eaten by me, however it didn't fill me up. we stopped at a bento shop purchasing 2 boxes. we took a seat somewhere more quiet and out of the crowd.
"you're not eating?" i asked stuffing my face. it felt good to be filling myself up. the male shook his head.
"i'm not hungry," he stated simply.
"booooo," giving him a thumbs down, "you know eating with someone is better than eating alone."
tomioka looked at me sighing, "y/n stop."
"BOOOOOOOO," i shook my head but shut myself up after seeing his serious expression, "geez learn to take a joke."
i got a short glimpse of a red outline in my vision. standing up quickly i placed the bento box next to tomioka.
