it was morning and i spotted tomioka coming out from his estate.
"good morning," i ran up to him waving, "did you have a good sleep?" he only nodded. we walked along the paths entering the headquarters. it seem as rengoku had returned from one of his mini mission. i heard he was requested to check a certain area somewhere south.
"oh, good morning giyu-kun, and y/n-chan," he greeted giving his usual bright smile.
"good morning. how was your mission?" i asked.
"great! i was able to restore the area. the crops will be able to grow peacefully in the meantime now."
"sounds great."
rengoku left shortly after our short conversation to get some rest. i bid him goodbye waving him off.
"CAW CAW CAW DEMON GROUP SIGHTINGS CAW CAW Y/N KAORI AND GIYU TOMIOKA HEAD UP TO NORTH WEST CAW CAW DEMON GROUP SIGHTINGS HEAD UP TO NORTH WEST CAW," my crow circled above us before landing onto my finger. i rubbed its temples retying the white ribbon around its neck.
"cmon let's go," i tugged tomioka and we made our way to the place.
as we arrived there was a small group of demon slayers standing in guard to the forest's opening. fences were built around the area indicating that the demon was somewhere in the circle.
"oh, this is different," i muttered, "i never seen a demon place so protected."
"they must've sent us here to slay it. be careful," tomioka said. rolling my eyes i crossed my arms pouting, "yeh yeh i know."
we walked into the forest after having the consent of the standbys. it was quite foggy. however with my vision i was able to easily see clearly through the fogs, with tomioka scenting out the place.
"i can't see any demon in my vision," i muttered.
"neither can i. i can't sense it out," tomioka replied with the same result, "let's head up north."
i followed tomioka from behind holding onto my nichirin blade, "this place disgusts me. i feel kinda sleepy," i sluggishly held onto tomioka's haori as he realized covering up my nose.
"what the hell?" struggling to pry his hand off my face, "this is not appropriate tomioka, let go of me."
a weird expression played on his face, "don't breathe in the air." putting the other of his hand covering his mouth and nose, "it'll make you sleepy."
come to think of it it did. i was perfectly awake before entering the forest. these fogs must've been the case.
"must be another one of those blood demon caster," i muttered pulling the ribbon from my hair and making it into mask wrapping it around my nose and mouth. my hair was now loose as it wavered down to my back.
