I felt imprisoned. I felt so limited. I wanted to rip everything in my sights. Who did he think he was? I knew what he wanted with me but was that all. Or was there more. Just the thought of him made me want to punch him in the face.

I tie a long silk robe over my nightclothes and step out into the halls. Victor was probably drinking and in a room with a girl. He seemed like that type of guy.

Then I thought. Why was he the only one allowed to play games? Maybe it was time to test him back. To let him understand that he isn't the alpha. He is merely a kidnapper to me. Nothing more.

I meander through the silent hall trying to tiptoe across the slippery floor. I hear the sound of footsteps. Polished shoes clacking agains the floor. I immediately hide behind a small table in the corner.

It wasn't anyone I would know, but I didn't need to be caught looking like this. As I continue walking down the halls, I turn to make sure no one is out or watching me. Suddenly I walk straight into a tall figure.

"Aura?"

Shit. I look up to meet Victor face. He doesn't look angry. He doesn't look upset. For the first time, I got a glimpse of his uncertainty. Of his confusion. He immediately drags me back into his room.

"What the hell are you doing in the halls?" He asks pinning me against the wall as his fingers wrap around my neck. He wasn't exactly choking me but if I moved too much, it would be a struggle. I turn my head slightly towards the door.

"Let me out!" I shout as I try to reach for the door.

He lets me loose and takes a couple steps back.

I try to unlock the door. The door wouldn't budge. What sorcery is this.

"Why were you out in the halls?"

"I'll let you know that I wasn't trying to escape," I retort, and continue trying to unlock the door. I look over to the side. A small keypad. Of course he would have all this high-tech security.

"Then what were you doing," he asked.

"Oh, nothing big. I was just planning on shooting rockets out of the roof. What the hell do you think I was doing!" I replied sarcastically. He deserved none of my attention. Not a single breath.

He opens his mouth and then pauses. Something about the room strains him. He looks around the room, then back at me. I roll my eyes at him. I want to be let out.

"Why are you so stubborn. Just go to sleep," He ordered.

"Why are you so demanding. Let me be as I am," I retorted.

"That's not how it works around here."

I glance around his room. He had two beds and a couch. The room was like a dim purple by his bedside lamp. I glared at him.

"You really are such a devil," I mutter.

He clears his throat and then suggests I return to my room. I on the other hand decide to be stubborn. I don't like being told what to do.

I walk over and sit on his bed, legs crossed and stare dead at him. I take in his entire image. His slightly unbuttoned shirt, his messy hair, and his focused stare. His gaze doesn't move from mine as he relaxes into the couch across from me.

"I don't want to hurt you Aura," he begins.

I cut him off, "And you wont."

"Don't make me," he finishes as if I said nothing.

He walks to the bed on the other side of the room, and lays out his things.

I watch as he goes into the bathroom and comes back out shirtless. I didn't think he was going to do anything, so I just sit there and observe his every move.

He turns the light off and I watch his silhouette lay down.

"So you're not letting me out?" I scoff.

"Shut your mouth and your eyes. That bed is yours. For the night."

That all he said, and then the only things in the room were me, the darkness, sleeping Victor, and the moon glowing from the window.

I had no choice. I tuck myself under the covers and shut my eyes.

Of all the people.

Why me.
