I didn't even care this time. The bike ripped through Victors lawn, and I parked it in the middle of the grass. There were more important things. My heart fluttered, and I wanted to scream it to the whole world.

Keep you composure, I reminded myself. I do a little wiggle as I walk down. He walks out of his building from the opposite side, and I wave as casually as possible.

I've never waved to him. What am I doing?

"You won't believe what I found," I say as I walk across the property to Victor and Dante.

"What did you do now?"

"Sit down first," I ushered him.

"Tell me what you found," He demanded. It wasn't an aggressive demand, it was an expectant demand.

"I will, If you relax and sit down."

Extremely annoyed by the cliffhanger, he slouched onto the chair of the small table.

"Now tell me."

"Dante, come here," I called. "Sit down."

It was just the three of us. Victor seemed eager but unbothered at the same time, and Dante was just Dante. As usual.

"So."

"Hurry up, I have things to do," Victor interjected.

"Patience, for gods sake, I can't be here for long either," I grinned. "I unlocked the room, of course. You wouldn't believe what I found."

"Tell me already!" He whined.

"I have to build the suspense, of course!" I chuckled, "But."

Victor's eyes were wide.

"Isabel."

His mouth flung open. He slammed his hands on the table and stood up. He was takin deep breaths. I watch as his breathing got faster and faster and he ran his hands through his hair.

"You have to be joking," He said, his voice cracking a bit.

"Why would I joke about such a thing," I say, leaning back into my chair. He begins to tear up and he just stood there. Like he was put on pause.

"Don't lie to me, I swear," he trailed.

"I'm not lying," I shake my head. I pull out the small ring that she gave me. I gently place it on the table.

Dante looks back and forth at the ring and then me.

Before I even had a moment to react, Victor walked over to the other side in two strides and pulled me into a hug. His arms wrapped around and held me firmly. I could feel his heartbeat. This hug was just like mama's.

He wipes the few tears that manage to make their way out of his eyes.

"No time to be a big baby, we need to rescue her," I said, patting his tough chest.

After he calms down, we walk over to the couch inside the building. We circle around the fireplace. The flames burned and I could see the anger in his eyes.

"The only reason Alexander hasn't reacted yet, is because he knows he already has something to bribe you," I explain.

"We need a plan," he says, wrapping his fist in his other hand, "like we do for everything." I took some time to think.

"I have an idea."
