I spent the night thinking of things I could ask. I called Markie and tell him to disguise who I was. I told him to be at Lara's place before me, preparing her and telling her that Aura was just a friend of his from another department who wanted to speak to her regarding Isabel.I designed another plan, and told Markie that I wanted everything recorded. I told him to either use a device, or simply his phone, anything that picks up the audio. This way I can actually figure out whether or not she's lying.
When I look at the time on my phone, it was 4:23 am. I needed sleep if I was going to do this tomorrow. This time, I changed into one of my own set of pajamas and settled in.
The morning alarm blasted in my ear, and it was only 7 am. I needed more sleep but I had things to do. I saw this as a dealing. If I found Isabel, he would set me free. And that's what I hoped for.
I drag myself out of bed and shower. I let the water just fall all over me, while I took deep breaths. I was playing with dangerous people. Very dangerous people.
I grab the most simplistic thing in my wardrobe. Black pants, and white shirt. I tucked it into the pants and then look through the wardrobe again. Combat boots, and leather jacket. I was done playing pretty little princess.
I walked over to the dresser, grabbed a hair-tie and wrapped my curls into a high ponytail. I threw on a small chain and bracelet.
Complete.
I make my way down the corridor. The sound of my boots hitting the floor made me feel so authoritative.
I glance out the large glass window as I bounce down the last few steps. He sat in the yard, reading through some papers. I made my way around to the table, and stood in front of him.
"Good morning," I smiled.
He looked at my outfit and sheepishly grinned.
"Wow, you're wearing that?"
"What, am I not allowed to?"
"It is new," he shrugged, "It's not your style."
"You think I'm always such a baby don't you?"
"Well, you are significantly younger."
"Mhm," I say, crossing my arms, "Well, here's the other side of me. And this side is staying."
"I see," he trailed.
"Do you have a problem with me dressing like this?" I teased.
"No, not at all," he scampered for words.
"I'm just playing, relax."
He let out a sigh of relief. "Now about Isabel. I'm going to talk to Lara. I'll tell you what I find," I continued.
"And how are you going to get there?" he asks as if I didn't already tell him last night.
"With the motorbike of course."
"You're such a badass," he says nudging the keys towards me
"I know," I wink, and take the keys from the table. "Follow me, but I'll let you know if you need to come in," I whisper to Dante, "I already have Markie and a crew in there."
