"Aura wait," Victor shouts behind me. He caught up. He came after me. Why."Get lost Victor!" I shout back. I was drenched. My hair curled up to it's natural state and my dress stuck to my body lifelessly.
"Aura, listen to me! Please don't leave now!" He bellowed. The rain made it hard to hear in general but his voice stood out clearly.
"Why? Why do you need me?" I yell back, "I'm not just a feminine figure for you to carry around! I could lose my life at any point if I'm anywhere with you!"
"I told you why I brought you here!"
I stop walking. I rip off my heels and stand there waiting for him to catch up. He walks around me and we both stood face to face.
"Aura," he started but I cut him off.
"What progress have you made with him by having me hostage?" I shout. The drops of water and my dripping makeup disguise my tears.
"It's not the only reason I have you."
"So what else then? Let me warn you that Im not here to be some sort of sex doll for you to fuck around with and then throw away!"
"I told you why I brought you, but I have my reasons for keeping you," he growled back.
"Then what are they?" I say, meeting his eyes.
"Something I don't have to tell you."
"Honestly, if you held a gun to my head you would at least be rid of me. Alexander doesn't give a shit about me being here. I doubt he even knows." I burst.
He stares at me, speechless. He looks like he's about to cry. The rain mixed with makeup stung my eyes even more. I suddenly felt bad.
Bad for accusing him. It's like I had just dug out some deep void in his heart. But then the anger returns at the thought of my life being in danger.
I feel my pressure rise, and then everything whirls. Victor's face blurs out and then everything goes black again.
The chilly air from the window makes the curtains dance. Victor was sitting by me again, this time he was closer. On the edge of the bed. I didn't think he would have such an emotional side. Or a side that was even the slightest bit nice.
"I didn't know you had a problem with your blood pressure levels." He started.
"And how did you find out now?"
"A doctor, how else."
"You have someone for everything don't you."
"Like I said, to most of the people here I am the boss."
"And it's most, because you are not the boss of me."
"You're never going to change," he gritted his teeth. "I didn't think your blood pressure can be so easily triggered."
"Well now you know," I retorted and looked out the window.
"Look," he said with a low voice, "I don't want to harm you in any way or use you."
I roll my eyes at his effort to lie. I wasn't convinced after his insane mood swings. One second he's a devil and the next minute he acts like my guardian angel.
He seemed very caring and his eyes looked like he was about to cry me a river. He was too fierce of a man to shed any tears over a random girl like me.
He gathers himself and walks out of the room.
I so badly wanted to leave this place. I needed answers or needed to be set free.
