Amara

"Mother wouldn't have wanted this~" I simply said and that hit him hard, his eyes expressed with great pain yet his face said otherwise.

A smug smirk appeared on my face, "Good luck on trying to force me, I promise it won't be easy" I assured him.

Leaving and going straight to my room, I'm still furious. How can he be so blind and weak.

Obviously he doesn't see the trap being set up.

You might think I'm overreacting but my whole life felt like being shackled and controlled. Being molded to be a role model and leader for the clan. And now being used for some truce that isn't permanent. This isn't the medieval ages where families sold their daughters for marriage and profit.

I sat down on my bed and gripped my head in frustration. What a great night Amara. From now on I'm not going to sit around and act good. My mind went into deep thought for a possible miracle.

Letting out a sigh, I wish to be free. With peoples lives at stake a can't just run away. War is closing in. There must be a better solution.

Grabbing my pillow furiously, closing my eyes, until I fell to a deep and dark sleep.

My eyes flew open to the sound of wind. Sighing as I got out of bed. Having a crazy night yesterday, I feel like this day isn't going to be different.

I decided to see Jareth today. I needed to loosen up and have fun for a bit.

Walking towards their house a few houses away from mine. I knocked, Ena greeted me with a warming smile on her face.

"Oh good morning Amara" her bright toned voice felt so welcoming.

"Good morning to you too, Ena" I tried to smile, it's the least I could, I wouldn't want to worry her. Then I continued "Is Jareth here?" wasn't sure whether he already went out, he's an early bird, but it's still early in the morning, so he couldn't have already left.

"Yes, he's up in his room"

She quickly yelled "Jareth hon, Amara is here get your butt down here now!"

I just chuckled, she invited me inside and offered me refreshments, but I declined her offer politely. Still upset about what happened last night. She looked at me and wondered.

"You look troubled dear, is everything alright?" oh no she noticed. Looking at the same Grey eyes that Jareth had, he's a total momma's boy. Her worried expression pierced through my soul.

Letting out a long breath. "No, everything is not alright" saying it lowly. I hesitated to tell her why, she would know eventually. The word spreads fast.

"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it, just know that you can tell me anything" her smile glimmered with assurance.

My lips curved into a slight smile, she always been a mother figure to me. And I owe her for caring about me.

Loud steps came down the stairs, Jareth looked energized and ready for the day, completely opposite to mine. His smile soon turned upside-down when he sensed my mood.

Still munching on his sandwich he asked "Is something wrong?" curiosity was written on his face.

I just looked down the wooden floor, and stayed silent.

"Okay let's go" him grabbing my shoulders, we head out to our stop up the hill.

Sitting under the same old tree since we were younger. The view was always spectacular. Wind willowing through leaves and grass along with it.
