It's the next morning and I wake up to my beautiful alarm ringing.
"Ugh" I tell myself getting up my bed and stretching I grab my phone and that's when I see I have a text from "pouty Josie" it was from last night and I can't help but smile.
I open up my phone and read the message.
"Next time we'll meet at my house"
I chuckle at her text and can't help but wonder how that's gonna be since Lizzie will clearly not be okay with that so I'm not really looking forward to that.
However I am looking forward to hanging with Josie again. I have to admit it's always nice having her around.
— A week later
It had been a week already, me and Josie still hadn't had a chance to meet again for the project but we still had time.
At school everything was going smoothly. I mean most days would consist of school, soccer practice getting home showering and hanging with Ethan, Maya and Sebastian.
Me and Sebastian were still only friends with benefits. Landon and Josie were still as cringy as ever.
I still don't know how he managed to pull Josie.
Josie still hated me and of course so did Lizzie.
Lizzie had confronted me and Hope about the dinner party our dad had invited them and their parents.
She thought it was a plot to just poke at them more but with some bitchy attitude I told her that wasn't the case at all.
Right now it is currently Friday 5pm and I just got out the shower about to get ready for the dinner.
It was mostly going to be family friends plus Lizzie and Josie. Hope had invited Ethan and Maya and Sebastian but he couldn't make it.
Also it's dress attire and all so everyone is gonna dress fancy.
There's a knock at my door.
"Come in" I tell them as I finish getting ready. It's Hope.
"Hey, Ethan and Maya are on their way" she tells me sitting down on my bed. "Do you think Lizzie and Josie will actually show?" She then asks me.
"I'm pretty sure they'll come up with a bs excuse to their daddy to not come" I tell Hope with a chuckle.
"Right, I'm just a bit nervous" Hope tells me sighing.
