Josie has been there since Sophia collapsed. After they arrived to the hospital the doctor came out hours later to inform them that she was okay now but she had overdosed.
So she wouldn't wake up for a while until she regain strength.
Caroline insisted on her leaving to get some rest but her and Hope stayed by Sophia's side all night.
Then the next morning Josie went to get coffee and when she got back Elena was there sitting down by the bed.
"Hi Josie." She tells her softly.
"Goodmorning." She tells her back.
"You've been here all night I heard." Elena tells her and Josie nods.
Taking a small sip of her coffee.
She just standing looking at Sophia sleeping looking at how soft and vulnerable Sophia looked sleeping peacefully but the thought that she could've lost her last night still makes her heart ache.
Josie was no stranger to addiction, since her father had always in someway been one when it came to alcohol.
So it deeply pained her seeing Sophia like that.
"You where there when it happened?" Elena asks and Josie gets a flashback of it happening again.
Her own scream and Hope's the ambulance arriving and Klaus and Hayley arriving to the hospital asking them questions of what had happened.
"I was yeah." Josie says softly.
Elena stands up when she sees Josie's eyes holding back tears and she pulls her in for a hug.
"Come here, she's going to be okay and she'll get the help that she needs." Elena tells Josie.
Elena felt for her since she always knew how much they cared about each other since they where little

All Sophia remembers before she fell unconscious and overdosed was her moms face, and Josie's voice in the background screaming.
So when she opens her eyes and it's bright she squints to adjust them to the light.
She here's monitors in the background.
Shit, she thinks to herself she's in the hospital which means her dad is going to have a lot of questions for her.
She coughs softly and then she sees Josie there she's sleeping on the couch.
"Jo?" Sophia says softly her mouth is really dry.
Josie opens her eyes right away and there's this relief written all over her face.
"You're awake." She says standing up and right away and she goes to hug her.
Sophia chuckles.
"I am and I'm also really thirsty." She says and Josie pulls back gently and grabs her some water.
