*Chapter 3*

They looked at me shocked, as if I just told them I was pregnant with walrus and squirrel hybrid babies.

"H-how did you--? I-I d-d-dont understand" Chris, my mate, said.

"I'm adopted, but my parents are werewolves" I told them as if it was nothing.

"Your parents?" Kent asked.

"Everyone has parents idiot" I said and rolled my eyes at him. What did he think? That I didn't have parents?

He growled at me. "I know that"

"Then why did you ask idiot" I knew he was getting angry but I continued. If anything were to happen my mate was standing less then four feet away from me.

"Okay children. Enough" Chris said and clapped his hands.

"I'm 18. I'm not a child"

"Which pack are your parents from?" Chris asked.

"Why do you need to know?"

"I don't. At least not yet."

"Okay then" I said and put my hands on my waist.

"Well, I'm bored so I'm just gonna go find Amity" Kent said and walked up the stairs. I hadn't gotten the time to notice my surroundings yet so I hadn't noticed the stairs to my right.

Chris scowled at him and turned to me;

"Have your parents ever told you about mates?"

"No, of course not" I said, my voice dripping with sarcasme as I rolled my eyes.

"So you know that we're mates?"

"Yeah because it is completely normal to try to rape someone in the middle of a parking lot if you're not mates" I said.

"I'm sorry" he told me and looked down. "I've been looking for you"

"You have?" I looked at him. He was handsome.

"Yeah. Most werewolves find their mates when they're 16. I'm 22" he told me and held my arms. Sparks flew everywhere around us, and as his hand reached up to touch my cheek, I leaned into him.

"You're 22?" he nodded. He was four years older than me.

I looked into his eyes and I got lost in them. His beautiful blue eyes stared into mine. I saw his eyes flicker from mine, to my lips, then back to my eyes again. Slowly, we both started to lean in and just when our lips were about to touch;

"Alpha, there's an important phone call for you."

So, another chapter is up. I hope you liked it. I know it is really short but I didn't really have the time to write anything else. I promise that the next chapter will be longer.
