TYRELL
I was ready to have her right there and then. I could feel her again. For a moment there I felt the whole world wasn't in existence. She was everything. Then there was this dumb call to snap me back to reality.
This call came at the wrong time and it had better not be Henry, coz he was about to get his ass fired whether it was important or not.
I quickly put Chanelle down to take the call, I tried my best not to look her in the eyes considering how rudely I dropped her... there was something different about her crazy and I really don't think it's healthy at all. Her crazy scared even me. Being a surgeon, she could probably break my head open and stitch it right back and act like nothing happened. Yes, I'm exaggerating, but for the sake of safety, there had better not be something sharp in here.
As I took my phone in my hands another reality hit me, all my calls were important and most of all.. I was about to lose a million dollar deal. I was supposed to be in a meeting right now. I get it was rude of me put her down the way I did without even saying anything to her, but I couldn't lose this client.
I answered the call and turned around, my back facing Chanelle hoping she's not thinking of ways to kill me. I was trying my best to convince my client to wait a little longer.
I wasn't up to a minute into the call when I felt Chanelle pull my phone out of my hand. She headed straight to the bathroom. It took a second for me to understand the situation and follow her right back. Whatever the fuck she was thinking of doing, I didn't know, but I knew it wasn't going to end well. The time I got into the bathroom, she tossed my phone into the toilet.. I wasn't even done with my call yet. I knew her next move was to flush, then I said.. "Don't you dare" and immediately had my regrets. She dared, she flushed. I need to start buying bigger phones.
I know I shouldn't have dared, but she took this way too far. "Fuck you do that for?" Even I knew I was loud.
I looked her straight in the eyes and she didn't even have a shed of remorse in there. I saw nothing but fire. She looked back at me and said.."Bitch." Then she left slamming the door on me.
So I get my phone flushed down the toilet and still get called a bitch? The nerves of this woman.
I had nothing else to do but rush to work in all hopes that I haven't lost the deal yet. I had to speed everything up. I was literally running to my car, imagine a vexed person in a race, that was more of what I looked like right now. Did she really have to throw my phone in the toilet?
I got into the car, not wanting to say anything to anybody coz anyone who spoke to me at that moment was about to get their ass yelled at or maybe fired.
I had my driver go on full speed, but honestly, who was I kidding.. I knew I already lost the client.
I got to the work in fifteen minutes, yeah I had some fines to pay coz I got caught by the street cameras like twice, but I'd be lying if I said I cared about that at this point, I didn't. Yes I have many more clients presently and many more to come, but I can't be losing one.. I've only been here for four months and I know my father will hear about this.. people just can't keep their mouth shut. I never heard of my father losing any clients so I can't start that, I needed to be responsible with this.
I walked straight in and walked up to the fifth floor.. that was where my office was. I rushed over to my secretary's table. "Is he still here?" I really hoped she'd say yes.
She had a frown on her face, then I knew I was pretty much screwed. "I'm sorry sir, he left."
"Did you not try to keep him here?"
"I did but he said he didn't have time." Honestly I would have done the same. "He said he wasn't coming back." She said finally. Thanks Chanelle.
