3rd person POV
Mei started to become worried ever since Rengoku was sent out on the train mission. She started to wonder what was going on since she or anyone else heard anything from him for a very long time.

Mei stood at the entrance of the Demon Slayer Headquarters waiting for the three knucklehead demon slayers. She wanted to find Rengoku immediately. She wouldn't lose another friend. Not after the death of Kanae.

When they said their goodbyes I made them run with me to the train station. I almost forgot that I wasn't alone and was going a little fast. She also decided to take a shortcut. "You three better be keeping up!" She called. "We're trying to!" Tanjiro said with his sister on his back.

As soon as they arrived at the train station Mei hid her sword and instructed the others to do so. She had to hide Inosukes though. She also took off her mask getting the attention of a lot of men around her. "Marry me Yamamoto-san!" Zenitsu loudly yelled. Tanjiro put his hand over his mouth. She got the train tickets and then the train pulled up.

"WHAT IS THAT CREATURE!" Inosuke yelled. "It's literally a train-" Inosuke cut Zenitsu off. "I bet this is that thing!" He said with his eyes sparkling. "What thing?" Mei asked. "The master! The ruler of all the lands!" He exclaimed.

Mei held in a laugh at the boy's thoughts. "Don't let your guard down!" He yelled after. Mei continued to hold in her laugh. "Oh no, it's literally a train," Zenitsu said.

Inosuke told him to shut up and he suddenly charged the train and head-butted it. Even Tanjiro started to possibly agree with Inosuke. God, what are these kids on? Mei thought.

Mei tried to stop the boat-headed boy from head butting a train. Zenitsu was very embarrassed.

Suddenly a whistle was blow and security started running towards them. Mei stood in front of the three boys. "I'm so sorry!" She said with a smile. The guards blushed at how beautiful she was. "This one has been in the mountains his whole life. This is the first time he's left them. He doesn't know how to act I'm so sorry! I'll make sure they stay in check from now on. Please forgive us." Mei smiled, but the three could feel a dangerous aura coming from her "Y-yeah! Sorry." Inosuke said.

The guards nodded and smiled at her and walked away. "Damn idiot," Mei mumbled to herself. "Come on. Let's board the train." She said. They quickly followed behind not wanting to make her angry.

It didn't take long to find Rengoku as he was enjoying some food. He kept saying it was tasty and Mei let out a laugh. He turned around and swallowed his food with a smile. "Yamamoto-Chan!" He called out. She took a seat across from him with a smile. He also greeted Tanjiro and the other two. Rengoku gave her a bento box and urged the slim girl to eat. She gratefully accepted it and started to eat a little bit. She noticed Inosuke sticking his head out the window while the train was moving. She pulled him the back of his mask and scolded him.

Tanjiro asked Rengoku some questions and he gladly answered. He even said he'd train him and everything.

After the train had been going for a while the conductor who looked a little ghostly came and asked for the tickets. Mei noticed there was something off, Rengoku did too, but they still got their tickets done. Just then a demon appeared. Rengoku took it out quickly and it wasn't long before they fell asleep.

She was in a deep sleep and suddenly started to dream about her past.

"Mommy mommy! Look at what father taught me!"

An excited Mei ran to her mom a bright smile on her face. "What is it dear? Show me." Her mom smiled. "Okay okay! Ready?!" "Ready!" She smiled.
