Chapter 6

MANGA SPOILERS!!!!!! 

Months later
It had been a total of three months since Rengoku faced the Upper Moon and three months for him to recover. Mei was quietly reading and was disturbed by a screaming Zenitsu. He's probably training. She thought.

She got ready for the day and got in her demon slayer uniform and had her hair in a bun and her clip and sword and all that before she went to Nezuko's room. When Nezuko saw her, she smiled and immediately hugged Mei. The two girls have gotten very close to each other over these few months together. Nezuko became like a little sister to Mei. She said her good morning and spotted Nezukos's head before leaving her room.

She walked out of her estate and went on a walk she hears more screaming. She turned a corner near the butterfly estate and her eyes widened. Uzui was trying to kidnap some of the girls. Even Kanao tried to do something. Then she saw three familiar demon slayers confronting him so she stayed quiet to see how it was going to end.

Mei was surprised when Uzui agreed to them, but he threw the girls. He finally revealed what the mission was. Her eyes widened at the mission.

She decided to go talk to Oyakata-Sama about it. He smiled when he noticed her presence. "I'm assuming you heard about Tengen's mission." "Yes sir," Mei said. "You will be sent out once he makes his move." He said. Mei simply nodded and thanked the man.

Mei sat on the porch of her estate waiting for the sun to set. After about twenty more minutes it did. She sighed as she stood up ready to go. Oyakata-sama wanted them to go to ensure all their safety. She never fully understand why he always did that, but she never questioned him about it because she assumes he has his reasons.

Mei suddenly thought back to the memory of the day Oyakata-sama had told her other job would ensure other slayer's safety to watch other them.

When she arrived at where the boys and Tengen was she sat on the roof of a house. "Yamamoto-san!" Zenitsu cries running as fast as he could towards her. Tanjiro and Inosuke were too. She noticed Uzui was chasing after them. Mei jumped down and the boys hid behind her. She was confused as to why they were.

She suddenly almost burst out laughing when she saw the boy's hair and makeup along with their outfits. Mei smiled and was able to remain calm, but a small giggle did escape her lips.

When Uzui got close he stopped in front of them. He was surprised at how nice Mei's smile was. "Yamamoto-san! Look at how ugly he made us!" Mei laughed at Zenitsus whining.

She responded like she was Uzui for a minute. Even though he didn't know much about her, she had very good observational skills and she knows all about Uzui's personality. "Well, you can't be too pretty right? Or you'll disappear and never return." She smiles. Zenitsu shivered at the thought. "Yamamoto-san! Come with us!" The boy whined after. Tanjiro smacked the side of his head. "Stop causing trouble all the time for her!" He exclaimed.

"I WOULD NEVER DISAPPEAR!" Inosuke exclaimed. Mei smiled still and watched the boys interact.

When it was time Mei took the box Nezuko was in.

Before letting the slayers go she patted each of their heads. Although she couldn't reach Uzuis she just patted his shoulder even though that was still pretty high up for her.

She went back to the estates. She watched as Uzui went to his. She wasn't quite close to hers, but she was on a rooftop in front of Uzuis estate. She looked at the moon and stars and a small smile appeared on her lips.

She was quickly surprised to find Uzui was sitting next to her. "Oh hey..." She started, "Beautiful night isn't it?" she continued. Uzui stayed silent and just nodded his head in agreement.

Mei jumped from tree to tree and building to building as she was making her way back to the red light district. Oyakata-sama sent her out to go back and check in things. Her eyes widened when she could hear the screams and cries of people. She says a slightly destroyed area of the town was destroyed from a distance. She saw Tanjiro and Uzui with a male demon and the other two boys with a female.

Mei went to a kakushi that she had previously trained before. She ordered them to help innocent people and get them to safety.

Mei went to a roof and noticed that Tanjiro was about to be struck from behind. "Second form Venus's boomerang!" Mei said. She was able to injure the female demon. Mei realized just how powerful these two demons were.

Mei did a second attack and Uzui noticed some of her movements were similar to a Shinobi. He dropped his guard for a moment and almost got hit, but Mei stepped him just in time. Tanjiro was now helping with the female demon. He yelled and asked Mei to help Uzui with the male. She realized Uzui was down and poisoned. When he was on the ground breathing heavily. She could also hear his heartbeat slowing down a little. She was able to block an oncoming attack. " first form Mercury's flow!" She said deflecting the attack.

The eye said Upper Moon Six. She noticed Uzui tried to move, but she told him to stay still, he was stubborn though and refused while standing up. "Space pillar? You must be the one Akaza was ranting about."

Mei became annoyed at the male's voice already. She also noticed Uzuis's movements resemble a Shinobi. Mei flew forward and called out "Eighth form Sea of Neptune!" When she cut the demon she was pierced on the side with the demon's poison sickle. "Yamamoto!" Uzui yelled with wide eyes.

The demon held Mei up with the sickle and looked at her. "Wow, her beauty is so captivating. You're as pretty as my sister." He said cutting off my mask. Mei glared at the demon even though she was in a lot of pain. He was about to slash down, but she used her legs to kick back and separate herself away from him. She used a breathing technique to help stop the poison and the bleeding.

"I don't get what Akaza saw in you! You're just an average weak woman with guts!" She looked at Uzui and they both looked at each other and called out an attack and stuck at the same time.

Mei collapsed to the ground once the fight was over. She and Uzui were both in critical condition as well as the other three. Uzui has his head on Mei's shoulder to try to prop himself up. "So are you a Shinobi?" He asked. "Half...try not to talk though. The poison will get worse." Mei said.

Nezuko suddenly approached them and then was able to halfway heal them with her demon blood art.

Just then Iguro showed up. Mei was still in pretty critical condition. He had a look of disappointment. "The hell happened to you two." "That's not really flamboyant of you, especially when you're late." Uzui laughed.

"Can't believe Mei-san got hurt helping you." He said. "Things happen I guess," Mei said quietly. Uzui was able to stand up, Mei did too but quickly became unconscious and falling forward. Luckily Uzui was able to catch her. The two other pillars noticed she was losing a lot more blood than he was. "We need to hurt back now," Iguro said.

When they arrived at the state they told Aoi that Mei was in critical condition. Kanao quickly ran and told Shinobu that as well. Shinobu was utterly shocked at the words Kanao had told her. The two girls quickly rushed to where Mei was. Shinobu saw Mei's unconscious body. She had lost a lot of blood. "What the hell happened!" She said. "Upper Moon, attack, pierced, poisoned." Was all Uzui could manage from running so much. Shinobu seemed to be able to quickly piece what he said. "There was an Upper moon, and she attacked it and in the same process she got pierced with a poisoned object." She said while working on Mei. "Yes." Uzui breathed deeply still struggling to breathe. Shinobu nodded her head and then ordered for Uzui to be taken care of as she continued to work hard on Mei.
