"Fuck, Ash. When are you going to talk to me?" Hunter groaned. Ash stared blankly into the wall behind Hunter as they sat in their regular spot at the café.
"Really?" he sighed. "You're acting like you're ten again." she was silent as she held her black coffee, still untouched. "Ash," he looked down at his hands playing with grey gloves. "You have to talk to me at some point. It's important."
"I don't have to talk to anyone. I don't know why I keep bothering to show up," Ash began to stand and Hunter stood against her. She stared into his chest, waiting for him to move. He didn't move and she sat back down with a sigh.
Hunter pulled his chair closer to himself to sit closer to Ash. "You keep coming because I ask you to."
"You don't exactly ask. You call, and tell me to meet you here then hang up." Ash said as she glared into her coffee mug. Hunter groaned.
"You come anyway."
"And now I want to leave."
"No you don't. You came anyway because I'm someone you can talk to."
"You don't ask questions. There's nothing to talk about anyway."
"What's wrong, Ash?" Hunter moved closer to Ash. She tensed in her seat. "Please, just fucking talk to me Ash."
She looked at her wrist then back up to Hunter. "I have to go. See you tomorrow at school." She stood up and pushed passed Hunter to leave. The bells rang on the door as she walked out of the café.
Hunter watched Ash walk away from the Café and sighed. He'd buy a muffin and follow after.
