Ash stood up and walked over to her desk. "I really... Uhm..." She said as he put her hand flat on the desk. Hunter chuckled to himself and stood, blowing the candles out and turning to the light switch. The room became lit by a lamp in the corner.
"You really... What..?" Hunter asked as he stepped towards Ash. She had stood up after she had asked what he would've done if she had let him in after the date. She seemed to nervous to talk to him anymore.
"I... I think I got what I needed," Ash said quietly under her breath. Hunter sighed and came up behind Ash. His hand touched her waist, and he realized how thin she had gotten.
"Ash," he whispered her name. She pressed closer to the desk. Hunter gripped her waist and roughly turned her. "Why?"
Ash's eyes widened and her hands flew to the edge of the desk behind her. "W-why what?" she stuttered as Hunter leaned in, staring into her eyes.
"Why won't you..." Hunter looked down and moved his hands from Ash' waist to her stomach. "Eat..?"
Ash squirmed under his hands and gripped his wrists. "Let go!" Hunter pulled her closer against her scream. "Hunter!" she tugged on his wrists but they were firmly locked on her.
He searched her eyes desperately as Ash squirmed. "Why won't you talk to me anymore?" He asked.
Ash stopped squirming and looked to Hunter with tears in her eyes. "Please, Hunter. You're hurting me..." Hunter realized he was digging his nails into her waist. He quickly released her and backed away, watching her grip her stomach.
"I'm sorry..." Hunter said, reaching out his arm only to let it drop to his side. "Shit, Ash... I'm really sorry."
"I know," Ash held her hand up and walked over to Hunter. "I know, it's okay," she said. Hunter was rigid and held his hands together.
Ash brought her arms to wrap around Hunter. He sighed and wrapped his around her. She was thin under his arms, too thin for her to be healthy. Hunter sighed and lifted her up against him.
She squeaked a protest but wrapped her legs around his waist as he held her against his chest.
"It's nearly midnight," Hunter said as he walked Ash to her bed. "I left Eli in charge of Shelly..." He laid Ash down on her bed with his hips between hers. Ash hooked her hands behind Hunter's neck.
"I don't want you to go..." She whispered. Hunter sighed softly and brought himself inches over her.
"I have to," Hunter murmured. Ash moved her legs, locking them around Hunter's waist and pulling him close against her. His hand met her shoulder as he leaned closer. Her eyes pleaded with him, but Hunter nearly kissed her chin and stood up, unwrapping her legs from his hips.
"I'll see you tomorrow Ash," Hunter said, waving. He grabbed his keys from Ash's desk and cursed himself. He didn't give her the muffin.
He went into her kitchen, rounding a pad of paper and a pen. He pulled the muffin his school bag and pulled out the lemon poppy seed muffin.
