I couldn't concentrate at school. I kept thinking about the voices in the basement. I tried convincing myself that it was a dream, I mean I did wake up in my bed with no clue of how did I got there.
I know my first day of school waa a bit rough, and I probably hated the school but today I really wanted to stay a bit longer. I mean do you blame me, I just heard multiple man voices coming out from a body of a child in a dark and creepy basement.
But unfortunately school ended faster today. And the driver arrived early too.
Before entering the house I stood at the front door and took a deep breath. I got in and quickly went to my room. I locked the door and sat on my bed, burying my head in my hands.
Then Sister Jolene's voice echoed in my head.
"You'll never be confident enough if you dont face your fears head on"
No, no way am I going back down there. I got up, changed my clothes and went downstairs for some food. I made myself a sandwich and watched TV.
But I still couldn't get the basement thing out of my mind. I switched of the TV and went upstairs but stopped at the beginning of the stairs and turned my head to the right. There it was, the basement door. Just standing there, mocking me.
"Oh fuck it" I said grabbing a flash light and went for the door. I took a deep breath and opened the door.
It looked just the same. I swung the light around the room, looking for anything out of the ordinary.
"Hello..is anyone here?" I asked. A screeching sound erupted from the corner. I swung the light as soon as I heard it. But only found a mouse.
"It's just a mouse Sam, it's just a..." I tried calming myself down but the flash light started to dim." No no please don't " I pleaded while hitting the flash.
It eventually turned of, leaving me in the dark alone. Thoughts flooded my mind and I quickly ran for the door but the same light appeared just as I was about to open the door.
I turned around slowly and saw the same figures sitting around it like it was a camp fire.
"Are you going to sit today?" One asked.
"Who are you?" I asked
"Sit and we'll tell you." Another one said with the same voices. But this time I didn't run away, I sighed and walked towards them.
"What's your name?" The first one asked.
"Samantha, but my friends call me Sam." I said sitting down then frowned when I remembered that I dont have friends.
"You don't have friends, do you" It said.
I kept quiet and looked down at my crossed feet." Don't worry, we'll be your friends." It said with a bubbly voice.
I looked up at it, trying to find its face but I couldn't find it. It was peach black and the green fire light only lit her body. That also goes for the other one.
"No thanks, I'm good" I said.
"A bit too cocky for a person that spent her whole life alone" The other one said.
"Don't mind her, she's always like that. I'm Justina and that's Sabrina. " she said.
"Nice to meet you. What are you doing down here anyway?" I asked her.
"Why this is our home". She said. "We all live here"
"You live here? Wait did you just say 'we all live here? " I asked.
"Yeah there's more of us in here than anyone could count" she said again.
I looked around and there was nothing but darkness. Then eyes started appearing in the dark. Black horrifying eyes. It was peach black but I still could see their eyes. I promptly got up screaming and headed for the door.
I got out and turned my back on the door. I didnt notice her but Shary was looking at me with wide eyes.
"What's wrong Sam?" She asked
How the hell was I going to explain to her what I just saw.
