"Daddy~!"
I flipped over, leaning more into my husband. He groaned, wrapping his arms around me.
"Dad!" Someone else whined. I finally blinked my eyes open and turned back over cautiously to not wake Laurance.
Dakota, our eldest child and only son, stood at 5' 11'', age 16. He was actually almost as tall as me. His cocoa hair was knotted, and obviously not brushed, swiping into his grey-blue eyes. He wore a regular, white t-shirt with his red plaid pants. He was a striking resemblence of Laurance, almost spitting image of him if it wasn't for the fact that he had my body and face structure.
Lilian sat on his hip, wrapping her tiny arms and legs around his torso and neck tiredly. She had curly blonde hair down to her shoulders, but sadly, neither of them had my dashing blue eyes, but took Laurance's. Where he got the eyes, our children both had my face shape, but I'd have to wait for a while to tell for Lilian, since she's only two and a half.
"Yes Dakota?" I whispered. A grin spread across his cheeks and only then did I realize his face looked flushed. "Are you sick?"
I moved a hand slowly to his face, and he was in fact hot. However, he laughed quietly, lightly pushing my hand away.
"No, Dad. Lily and I - well, mostly me - made you and Pops breakfast and cleaned the house up! C'mon! We gotta eat while it's still hot and fresh."
I nodded and shooed them out of our bedroom, Dakota closing the door behind him. I smiled and faced Laurance, who was sleeping peacefully. I leaned up, placing a small kiss on his nose.
"Laurance~" He mumbled something in his sleep and I rolled my eyes with a small smile. "Wake up, Hubby~"
His eyes fluttered open and a soft smile took over his tired features. "I thought I told you not to call me that?"
"It's not cringy, Laur." He snorted, chuckling as he kissed my hair.
"Sure. Anyways, good morning, Love. How did you sleep?"
"Wonderful. Especially with the love of my life beside me." He grinned, but something similar to gagging was heard outside the door and I shot up, darting to it to check on the children.
"I'm, fine, Dad! Don't open that damned door, because I know you and Pops sleep naked! Ew, by the way. I'm just gagging because the lovey-dovey stuff is over the charts."
I narrowed my eyes at the door, but not opening it because he may or may not be right. Laurance began laughing, standing from the bed and walking over to me, wrapping his arms around my waist and placing his chin on my shoulder.
"Dakota, language."
"Oh, suck it, Dad."
Before I could stop what I knew was coming, Laurance opened his big mouth and began blabbering our business. Again.
"Kota, you know he only does that to me." I slapped him, my face painting pink as Dakota laughed at Laurance's joke.
"Alright, alright. We get it, I'm the laughing stock. I hope you turn gay and get dominated by someone else, Dakota. Then you can talk about it. Can we go eat now?"
Laurance perked up. "Eat? Was something prepared?" He looked to me worridly. "Did you... cook, Gar?"
Annnnnd, Dakota lost it. He bursted out laughing, and I could even hear Lilian's giggling. My family is such a bully. Just one, giant buly.
"God no, Pops! I fixed something for you guys. Happy Father's Day!" I crossed my arms over my chest, huffing.
"I just can't get a break in this house, can I?" Laurance giggled and kissed my cheek, walking away to get dressed as I did the same. Dakota must have walked off because no response was made to my statement.
