Two Weeks Ago...
"Hey, Buddy!"
Garroth looked away from his locker, seeing a tall brunet sprint through the school hallway, making a scene. He blushed, noticing people staring and shrunk into his uniform. He didn't mind the attention, but it was an overwhelming amount of it, something Garroth would have liked to not happen.
The brunet held his backpack straps with a slight smirk on his face, like he just knew that Garroth was swooning over him. His light blue eyes sent shivers down the blonde's back whenever he was forced to make eye contact, and his hair fell into place without Laurance having to do anything to it.
He came to an abrupt stop and held his smirk, making Garroth's mind falter.
"W-What are you doing, Laur?" He glanced around the room, seeing others start to return to their own conversations. Laurance pulled his backpack around and started digging through it, bringing out a familiar poster that the blonde had seen plastered over all of the school hallways and in the lunchroom.
"Are you going?" Garroth's mind began to wander, thinking of the possibility of going with Laurance as his date. Not as his best friend, no no, his date. A hand waved in front of his face, bringing him out of his thoughts. "Helllooooo~ Earth to Gar-Gar!"
"Hm? O-Oh, yeah... I don't think I am." Laurance's face twisted into that of confusion, and Garroth could have sworn he saw a hint of sadness, but damn Laurance and his confusing emotions.
"Why not!" He whined. Garroth began digging through his locker again, getting ready to leave school. It was the end of the day.
"I don't have a date, Laur. That'd be awkward, not having a date, don'tcha think?" Laurance rolled his eyes and closed Garroth's locker for him, making the blonde look him in the eye.
"I don't have a date either, Gar. We can go together! No-homo, bro." He winked, but Garroth was having a mental break down. He wanted to go, but he didn't want strings attached to Laurance that Laurance himself couldn't return.
"I dunno..." Laurance gave Garroth the puppy eyes, and damn were they affective. "Alright, I give. What time?"
Laurance glanced at the paper in his hands, getting a visual of the time it starts. "It takes a gentleman to get ready in an hour for a dance, and it takes about 15 minutes to get to school from your house."
Garroth chimed in, a mischievous smirk on his lips. "So it takes you half an hour to get ready, and about 10 minutes to get to school."
"Hey! I am a gentleman! And I don't speed! That's Cadenza!" Garroth chuckled and began to make his way to the front entrance of the school, which was now being used as an exit. Laurance jogged back up to him and shoved his hands in his uniform pockets.
"I wouldn't be complaining Mr.I-Wanna-Get-My-Drivers-Licence-Suspended-For-a-Month. She's driving you home today. You better be lucky you're getting it back before Prom." Laurance sighed and shoved Garroth with his elbow.
"Shut up, Dork."
"Nerd."
"Blondie."
"Dodo Head."
"Ri-" Garroth reached over and covered Laurance's mouth, heart still pounding in his chest while butterflies slammed against his ribcage.
"Don't you dare finish that." Laurance giggled, an adorable laugh in Garroth's eyes, and removed the blonde's hand.
"Fine. Only because you hate that title."
