Merlin's Angelica

little ears

"FUCK!" echoed across the training grounds. Across the field Gwain threw his helmet to the ground and stormed away. Lancelot and him were sparing but for some reason Gwain could never get the upper hand. Morgana gasped and ran over to a shady tree where impressionable 6 year old Angelica played with some sticks and twigs. Merlin was away at a druid camp with Arthur on a  diplomatic mission leaving the young girl with the knights of the round table, Gwen, and Morgana. Morgana wrapped her arms around the little girl, before turning and yelling
"Gwain you mother fucking idiot there are little ears present"
"Oh shit" Gwain rushed over the the child "Shit, shit, shit, hey uhh look kiddo do your uncle Gwain a favor and dont repeat any of those words."
Angelica blinked cluelessly and murmured under her breath.
Morgana squeezed the little girl "what was that sweetheart"
"fuck" Angelica repeated a bit louder.
Gwain cursed again and Morgana swore under her breath.
" no Angel those are bad words" she tried again gently.
With owlish eyes she pipped "Fuck!"
"Shit Angelica baby no stop you are going to get uncle Gwain in soo much trouble" Gwain held the small girl by her shoulders looking her dead in the eyes.
Angelica was clearly enjoying the response of her Aunt and uncle and continued to curse. With a sigh Lancelot walked over, feet dragging behind him "you both are terrible at this" he scooped up the little girl in his arms and walked over to where the other knights where resting together. The entire way the young child squeaked cuss words. As Lancelot passed, Leon raised his eyebrows at Angelica's language. Lancelot vaguely gestured to the tree where the two idiot's now argued over who was a worse influence.
"Blame those idiot's"

Days later and numerous failed efforts to keep Angelica from sharing the new words she learned they finally where able to make her stop, and just in time too. Merlin arrived earlier that day and was speeding through paper so he could finally spend a day with his daughter. By noon Arthur and him had completed all the paperwork and went over all the plans. With anxious excitement the two of them walked to Gaius's chambers ready to see the little girl they had been away from for so long. When Merlin opened the door he was greeted with a armful of Angelica.
"Daddy!"
"Hey baby girl" he responded hugging her back.
"Papa! " Angelica launched herself at Arthur. He grabbed her and lifted her up into his arms, resting her on his hip. " I learned two new words!"
Arthur smiled fondly at her "that's amazing, what words?"
"Fuck and shit" she replied with great enthusiasm.
Stunned Merlin turned twords his child and his lover " what words did you learn?"
"Fuck and shit"
Merlin clenched his fist and walked out with a dark look in his eyes. Arthur sighed and set off explaining to Angelica why those words where bad. He used soft and gentle tones  with her as always, the knights however where not as lucky. A furious Merlin stormed up to them with murder in his eyes, "who taught my daughter to cuss? I just want to talk"
